It is seen that even at the age of 20 or so people start suffer from ‘gerd’. What diet you recommend or what medicines to take?

I would prefer to not have to be on prilosec 2 times a day. It does not seem to be helping. Is a natural remedy or a better medication somewhere out there?

I get quite bad heartburn (usually at least 3 – 4 times a day and every night when I go to bed). Over the counter medicines such as gaviscon, etc. just don’t quite cut it! I went to the doctor and was prescribed Somac tablets (pantoprazole). These work great but cost a lot ( for a pack of 30 tablets).

Has anyone else been prescribed heartburn medication for the doctor that they have found has worked well but is not too expensive?

Hi guys, I am taking antibiotics at the moment and just got a bad heartburn attack. I am burping excessively and I have pain in my upper stomach. The antibiotics are very rough on my tummy, first I had bowel problems and now that. I have been drinking mylanta but it didnt help very much. Milk didnt work either. Now I am eating an apple, it seems to relieve the pain a little. Is there anything else I can try in case it gets worse again?

Can your choice of foods change whether or not you have heartburn? Would a diet of fatty, greasy, unhealthy foods have a greater effect on heartburn, than a diet of more vegetables and fruit and less fat and healthier foods?
Or is it all up to heredity and natural body chemistry?

Ive been getting constantly heartburn for the last 3 weeks im going to the doctor 2mro but is it GERD?i hope it isnt as would that mean i can no longer get drunk with my friends?what else could it be?i have chest pains also

My doctor prescribed Nexium for acid reflux, but I really hate taking drugs. Any suggestions?

My teeth, eyes, and brain tremor. And I can not go to sleep at all without medications. It also causes gerd. Does anybody have same symptoms?

My mom has been having "GERD like symptoms" and been on GERD medications for sometime now. Recently went back to the Mayo clinic in Arizona and had some tests done and later to find out that the food in her stomach doesn’t digest as quickly so it causes GERD like symptoms and I am wondering is there any thing we can do besides have her take Doperimdome. My mom is thinking of taking prune juice. WIll it help?

I was diagnosed with Gerd (Gastric Esophigal Reflux Desiese) i have chest pains and have ben to the doctor numorous times because of this worried that it could be cardiac related but they keep telling me that is it related to my gerd the wierd thing is that it is mostly left sided does anybody have this same symptom
