Is it even really healthy for you? Are there any medical tests that state its good for you?

A few years ago I went on a strict diet and lost weight safely. A few months in to the diet after eating alot of fresh pineapple, I started developing a really uncomfortable pain at the top of my stomach, right where the rib cage separates in front. It is kind of a throbbing pain that only happens, now, if I eat fresh pineapple more than 1 day. I eat chocolate, spicy foods, and other citrus and acidic foods regularly and have no symptoms, just with the fresh pineapple. I even have eaten it with cottage cheese to lessen the discomfort because I love it so much. I don’t think it is heartburn because I don’t get any discomfort in my esophogus or any bad taste, etc. Dr. gave me 1 month of Nexium a few yrs ago but it didn’t do much and antacids don’t touch it. I didn’t have any tests done, but I miss my pineapple, and need to diet again and want to do it safely without hurting my digestive tract. Any ideas?

The doctor has ru tests on me including heart tests. Now they are telling me that they think i have GERD. Does gerd cause the chest tightness feeling? Has anyone else experienced this?

My acid reflux actually splashes all the way up to the back of my throat, and it’s alot. When this happens more often I tend to have this burning feeling when I swallow as though I had just drank bleach. How can I heal that faster??
I’m on NEXIUM already and it did get better then it got worse.

I am 27 weeks and have been having bad heartburn. I take Tums when it comes on and even sleep with the bottle next to my bed. It doesn’t seem to matter what I eat. Anyone have any other suggestions besides Tums?

I have been diagnosed with GERD and I rarely drink. But tomorrow is a big party and I would like to drink. I won’t drink anymore then probably 5-6 beers, I am a light weight. I’ve drank in the past and I woke up in the middle of the night with horrible stomach pain, but it passes. Can I take a Ranitidine ( A.K.A. Zantac) will that help? Please help
