I am 24.5 weeks pregnant, and I have REALLY bad heartburn. I tried Tums, but I am on bedrest, and I don’t want to become any more constipated from them. They don’t really work for me anyway. I spoke to my doctor, and she suggested Pepsid AC. That didn’t work either. I will call my doctor in the morning, but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for now. I’m not sure what is safe to take, or if there are any natural remedies I can use.
-And I’m lactose intolerant, so I can’t try milk.

The heartburn medications like tums and stuff do nothing for me. I am wondering if there is any way I can eat to minimize the problem. Everything I eat gives me heartburn, even a small amount but if I don’t eat at all I have it even worse. Crackers and bread settle it a little but I can live on that. Any advice for an anti-heartburn pregnancy diet?

I am now 7 weeks pregnant with my third and have NEVER experienced heartburn this severe. I don’t see my OB until Thursday and I’ve been living with this unbearable pain for about 2 weeks now. It’s a constant burning and NOTHING makes it better. I just tried Mylanta this morning and it’s really not even taking the edge off. Please help! I’m practically bed-ridden because I’m a miserable mess. Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!

ITs not a basic sorethroat, but lower like on the sides just below adams apple? I had really bad heartburn a week or so ago when I didnt have any pepsid around and it felt like it was burning me raw in my throat. Is that possible?
How long can that last, its been a week and is still a little sore. I am taking pepsid daily now.

My husband has GERD. He complains of Heart Burns all the time. He was a big drinker once now he has cut down his drinks to thrice a week. He is 30 year old. I am scared that he might not develop something that could be very dangerous for his health. He sometimes eat spicy food. What can I do at home to make his GERD better. He passes stool almost after every meal (sometimes his stool is very loose). I am scared to death beacuse he is only 30 and he has this problem since almost 7-8 or may be more years. He went to a doctor around 4-5 years ago but doctor did not mention anything serious at that time. Does GERD get worse with time. Please help me as I am not sure what to do. Thanks.
