What are some natural ways to avoid heartburn during pregnancy? Are there certain foods I can eat? Certain foods I can avoid? I know to eat Tums/Rolaids, but I would like some other suggestions to minimize and avoid heartburn. Thanks!

Im 36 (almost 37 weeks) pregnant and I never got heartburn until recently and its pretty bad..Tums help a lot. But Im wondering if it will go away as soon as I have my baby or will it stick around?!

Which one is most effective? Which one has the least severe side effects? Which one is best for a brittle diabetic?

I am beginning to wonder if my daughter has GERD. Heres her symptoms:

She chokes/coughs during and sometimes after feedings.

She hates laying flat, and she sometimes will spit up (so I elevate her)

She hiccups CONSTANTLY sometimes resulting in her spitting her food back up. And her hiccups make her VERY fussy.

And she swallows quite a bit. And even acts like shes chewing at times.

What do you think? I am definitely going to bring it up to the doctor and see what they say.
I don’t know are GERD and acid reflux the same thing? I just read something about GERD, but maybe but maybe its acid reflux… I don’t know shes my first.

I have never had heartburn till i got pregnant. I know it is normal, but it keeps me up all night and its horrible, any quick cures besides anti-acid tablets or pills??

I have Allergies to drugs and chemicals,my doc wants me on PREVACID but im not sure if I will be able to handle it or not.I have bad GERD so much so that I have had to go to the doc thinking im having a heart attack with chest pain,and i get acid in my throat and GERD related Asthma attacks. I eat an organic diet,I avoid acid foods etc….WHAT THE HELL CAN I DO??????

it’s been 3 days since I changed my son’s milk and now he vomits the entire milk after each feeding. he didn’t vomit for the first 2 days but now he begins to show signs of GERD, he also has loose stools. is it possible that at 6mos GERD will develop, likewise could it be the new milk that causes this problem?. His pedia is out of the country until saturday. this worries me a lot.

everytime I eat a meal I get a painfull feeling in my chest sometimes where my hear is and sometimes opposite of it.

And a few minutes ago I got a random stabbing feeling on/in my heart.

I am going to go see a doctor but is it serious enough to go right away or does anyone know what it is.

It has been going on for two weeks.
