My pediatrician thinks that possibly my two week old may have acid reflux, is this something he will have for the rest of his life?

With my last two periods, I have been experiencing a horrible acid reflux/heartburn feeling in the pit of my stomach and lower esophagus – in the middle of my body, under my breast bone. At this time I also experience what I can only describe as hunger pangs/pains. I "feel" like I need to eat something all the time even though I am not hungry or have just eaten.
My diet is not altered during these times and the problems start right as my menstrual cycle starts. I have been drinking a lot of water to combat this problem as well as trying TUMS, nothing has helped.
Has this happened to any of you, and if so how do you treat it?
NOTE: I have no symptoms of acid reflux/heartburn etc. after my period has ended.
I have googled it. . . I found no help. Seems this problem is common during pregnancy, possibly due to hormones.

I think i am finding a pattern that every time i get really stressed or think to much about heartburn i get it. I am stressed about some things and all of the sudden this heartburn is coming back. I had it really bad for 3 weeks, where everyday i would get it. It went away for 3 weeks and now its coming back. Could this just be from stress?

I have been diagnose with GERD 2 years ago, this was since I started college and has some what triggered this because of my high stress levels. I`ve taken pills but that hasn’t worked. And quit other treatment because it was too expensive for me, can’t afford it. So right now I took a semester off school because my symptoms have been worsening. But now they are ok, they are not improving, only the heartburn part. But I’ve been on green tea and eating a lot of yogurt and lactobactilus pills, to see if that’s a better way to deal with this. I would like to know if GERD disease or acid reflux condition causes serious health conditions in the future, if you don’t get treatment and stuff? What are some things you do daily to deal with this awful situation? or what advice can you give me? I would appreciate your help. Thanks.

And when they say to eat small meals, how small do they have to be? I want to gain about five pounds because I have lost weight trying to adhere to a GERD diet, even though I am eating a lot of nuts (because they’re high in calories) and not enough vegetables (because they’re low in calories).

I’ve been reading online about GERD because I always feel like I’ve got something stuck at the bottom of my throat
it’a not painful or suffocating or anything, it’s just like
there
and sometimes when it’s there and I eat something, it like
come’s back up
but I’ve only had heartburn like twice as a kid
my annual physical is in 3 weeks and I’ll ask my doctor then but I just want to know what’s up first

My doctor prescribed me Lexapro for depression and I took my first dose today (just 5 mg). Now, it’s been 12 hours since I took it and I have bad heartburn and I feel nausea when I try to eat anything.

First, I HAVE been to my doc a thousand times over and he doesnt know where the chest pain comes from, and its certainly not panic attacks. When i get the chest pains (generally between my breastbone), i have the urge to burp and my throat swells a little, making it more difficult to swallow. Is this consistent with what GERD could possibly cause?
