Eliminate Heartburn Pain In 2 Day! Doctor & Drug Company Hate This!

Archive for December, 2009

I have had Gastroesophogeal reflux since 2006 and my G.I. doctor gave me a list of what I shouldn’t eat. I used to have it really badly and was on like 20 different medications like muscle relaxers (which is a new treatment for GERD) and really strong acid reducers. I stopped taking them around November and I don’t go to the doctors because Ihaven’t gotten sick like my mother (who is a nurse) said I would from not taking my medicine. My mom also stopped taking me to the doctor because she said it would be stupid to do so since I don’t take my medicine. Any suggestions on the food?

Was on a round of antibiotics (cephalexin) for a bladder infection. Had to quit the meds mid-way through because I got severe stomach cramps and horrible heartburn. I tried it with food, I tried it without food — no difference. One day after I stopped taking it, the stomach cramps and heartburn stopped.

Heartburn that never seems to go?

Hi, for the past 4 days I have been getting very bad heartburn which comes and goes despite medical treatment (prescribed and over the counter medicine.) I went to have an ECG scan today and told my heart rate and pulse are faster than the average heart and I have to go back next week and talk to my doctor about why my heart rate is faster etc…anyone heard of anything like this? Does it sound serious? The heartburn is driving me mad and interrupting my sleep and work x
Well I try to eat healthy meals like salads, roasts and stir frys a lot but also a few naughty things like crisps. My diet hasn’t really changed recently and I did used to drink alcohol but hardly any at all now so I’m confused. First time I have ever suffered persistent heartburn! x

Lately I’ve been having horrific heartburn. I usually get it once or twice a month. This past month it has been on a near daily basis for the past few weeks. I’m trying to change my diet to help me eat healthier and feel better. But apparently it is helping to cause some really terrible pains. What are some of the causes everyone else has found for hearburn? I know I can easily go onto a website and find a list of normal things but everyone has different causes and outcome. I think mine may be from my new coffee addiction and the low fat foods. Foods with lower fat content have a much higher salt amount which is probably causing my pain!

What do you guys do to stop the pain and get some relief? I can only take so much Mylanta! And I have no insurance so a dr is not within my near future!

I recently discovered I was allergic to wheat.
I started feeling so much better once i stopped eating wheat.
I haven’t eaten any wheat products at all, but I have been around wheat products lately. I have gotten my symptoms back (heartburn and tightness in chest) since. I am currently sick and that is when it started getting worse. Is it normal for my body to have symptoms back when I am sick?

Are cinnamon or garlic allowed in a GERD diet?

I’ve been dealing with GERD dietary restrictions for a fair few months now, and so far I’ve managed to adjust to most of issues regarding it. My system is about as delicate as can be – I’m talking the crackers and croutons in a salad, with light vinaigrette dressing (the gentlest I’m aware of), is known to give me some issues. So does the yeast and dairy in cookies – so, quite literally, the ‘try a little and see if it hurts’ rule doesn’t apply at all as forbidden is forbidden for me.

I’m not entirely sure in regards to some spices, however – season all, a kind of salt commonly used for seasoning meat, seems to be alright if not over-used, however the addition of garlic salt is questionable to me. I also rather enjoy cinnamon sugar concoctions, yet I can’t find any information in regards to cinnamon.

Why do I get heartburn after swallowing pills?

I take a large multivitamin every morning. As of late, I’ve been getting heartburn (or what feels like it) almost immediately after taking the vitamin. Why? It is usually before I eat or drink anything in the morning.

I also want to watch my weight, so give me a shopping list of what I should get from the grocery store.

Thanks

Can GERD pain last for 5 days straight?

I went to the hospital on Saturday for abdominal pains (also had chest pain, lower back pain, groin/leg pain). They said they thought it was GERD. Since then I’ve been taking Omeprazole (Prilosec) and I’m still having abdominal pain for most of the day every day. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
