Specifically in someone who is already a sufferer of heartburn. I have a friend whose job, unfortunately, sometimes finds her having to to physically restrain teenagers. After such an incident she complains of chest pains. Even in her down time she is struck by the sensations of heartburn, which often leave her unable to exert much energy.

I asked this in the general pregnancy/parenting section but notice different people post over here so thought I’d see if there were any others suggestions/answers

1st Q. Can heartburn cause vomiting or is it more likely acid reflux? This may be TMI for some people but last night I had severe heartburn and then I vomited twice…really digusting and it burned badly.

2nd Q. The other night I had a leg cramp in my calf and today it stills hurts…like a nagging ache still. What can I do to help the pain ease up some?

I have a call into my midwife about the vomiting but she is delivering a baby right now and the nurse said she would have her call me back as soon as possible but she didn’t think it was anything to worry about.

Anyone else deal with these 2 problems? I never have in any of my pregnancies. I’m almost 33 weeks and do use tums for the heartburn.

It seems to come from years of living in Mexico, consuming huge doses of alcohol and off course loads of Mexican food.I related it with some kind of heart problem so i was given diferent tranquilizers and beta blocker and stuff.However i was never told what the problem was wich made me constantly nervous.I even did some tests to assure that i did not have a heart issue.I guess taking all those freaking pill only made it worse.

I have been having this dry cough for several years now, there is no phlegm accompanying the cough, and the coughs almost always start at the end of a meal. Would it help to take Benzonatate (aka. Tessalon Perles) for this cough? What are the side effects, if any?

I have been diagnosed with PCOS and my husband and I are trying to conceive, using fertility drugs. My period started on December 25, a result of taking Provera (I have irregular periods). January 7, I went to have a mid-cycle scan to see if my ovaries were responding to the fertility treatments and they administered a pregnancy test, which was negative. It is now about a week and a half later, and I am experiencing what might be early pregnancy symptoms. My nipples are tender, breasts are somewhat achey. Some mild nausea, but that may come from my GERD or a medication I take. I know some of this can be premenstrual, but I only have periods 3-4 times a year and I don’t ever remember having any breast issues with my period before, so I am doubtful that I am PMSing. So in your opinion, is this my mind making my body think it’s pregnant or could this really be it for me? Anyone else ever been in this position?
