my dog was sitting in front of me & i was singing this: "acid! heartburn indigestion! upset stomach diarrhea!" and she ran away really fast & sat in the corner.

Hi, I got an endoscopy done on September 2006. I went to my doctor a few days ago and he gave me my results. He said I have GERD. By the way, it took so long to see the doctor after my test because he kept reschedualing and so on. Anyway, the result paper reads:

A detached fragment of cardiac type gastric mucosa with mild chronic inflammation of lamina propria and reactive inflammatory epithelial change.

Can anybody translate this for me in english? I don’t understand the whole thing. After getting the EGD test back in September I took Prilosec for about a month. I don’t really get burning sensation anymore and my doctor just gave me a new pill to take
Now the doctor gave me PEPCID after 9 months past after having that endoscopy test done. Like I said, I took prilosec for about a month after the test and now I haven’t gotten any burning that I can remember. Should I take this new pills the doctor gave me? Do I need to take anything for it? Or since I don’t burn anymore, I should be fine? How can this hurt me? Am I in any danger with having this GERD? What can I do besides taking pills to treat this problem and never get it again? Thank you so much for your time and any help is greatly appreciated.

About 10 days ago, I started noticing something strange. It felt like my heart would, occasionally, skip a beat. After a couple days of this, I realized that, with only a few exceptions, each sensation would be followed by a belch. I’ve had acid-reflux for 7 years, but I’ve never known it to affect me in this way. Part of me thinks that it’s just a new developmental symptom of GERD, while another part of me wants to see a doctor to rule out heart problems. Has anyone else experienced this symptom with GERD?
I should also say that I’ve never known myself to have a skipping heartbeat before, so i can’t say for sure that’s what the sensation feels like.

this week i have had heartburn on and off for 3 days now. If i were to take a prego test, would it give me a correct answer to whether or not im pregnant or is it too early to tell?

like drinking Pepsi and eating junk food and I hate the heartburn what can I do to stop this. It really hurts sometimes.

I’m 5w2d pregnant after ICSI treatment. im also on medication and one of them is Prednisolone.
im beginning to worry as i dint have any pregnancy symptoms except for fatigue and some back pain, also tender breasts but im always carving for food and no morning sickness at all.
do you think it has anything to do with medications?
in previous pregnancy i felt heartburn and nausea when i was only 4 weeks pregnant (it ended up in ectopic).
but this one i actually saw the gestational sac and it was intrauterine .
any advice?????

I am 19 and I have Acid Reflux, possible gallstones, and feel like someone has been stabbing me in the chest at least once a day now. I’ve been put on Zantac but that’s not really helping anymore and I just want to be able to eat without regretting every bite. I swear I’m going to be anorexic if this keeps up

I drink about 48 oz of water a day and 2-3 glasses of Crystal light Peach Iced Tea. I sometimes have caffine free Diet Coke as well. I am pregnant, so I have been blaming pregnancy for the heartburn, but yesterday I did not feel like making the Iced Tea so I just drank water & had a Diet Coke. No heart burn. Then late night I made Iced Tea & had a couple ounces (I water it down too) and then 10 min later I had bad heartburn. Do you think it is the pregnancy (24 weeks) or the Iced Tea? If the Tea? What in the tea would be causing the heartburn.

i have gerd and we are out of my medicine for it and i have been having diarrhea
