Hello. I am a 35 yr old female, have had 2 children (c-section) and a hysterectomy. I am a bit overweight, approx. 40 pounds. I have been diagnosed in the past with stomach ulcers. Most recently (January) I had severe right side (2-3" below the ribs), I went to the Dr. assuming I had an appendicitis, well it seems I didn’t. He ran tests and did an ultra sound, my stomach, pancreas, gallbladder, kidney and appendix were all fine, however he did say that I showed signs of moderate fatty liver disease. Recently, (last week) I started having the same pain in my side, it was severe last weekend and hurt worse with movement. I took it easy, what what I ate (when I did) and it has gradually gotton better, (is still a dull, constant, aching pain), however in addition to it now I have SEVERE heartburn after I eat/drink anything. I have a horrible taste in my mouth, my stomache, chest and throat burns, I still have the pain in my side as well. Antacids don’t help, bland diet didn’t help, water didn’t, Aciflex meds didn’t help. I am in pain and am not sure what else this could be. I know I should see a gastroenterologist, but I am not eligible for insurance for another month. I know there are such things as gall stones, acid reflux, GERD, ulcers, etc. But does anyone have any educated idea as to what this is and should I be extremely concerned or should I hold out a few more weeks until the insurance kicks in and I can see a professional. My quack of a Dr. doesn’t seem to help me much, anyone out there with the same symptoms and a diagnosis, and Dr’s out there with suggestions. Thanks for any help!!!

Hi,
This is an SOS!
I am a 27yr old Indian female from New Delhi. I have recently relocated to Sunnyvale, California 5 months back. I have always had lustrous, straight, fine hair and have never faced any hair issues or dandruff before.
Off course, there is a huge change in the water that I am using here. It has chlorine in extensive quantity and is pretty hard. So I got a chlorine control shower head installed (I have no idea how much it will help or if it has helped at all). I’m suffering from tremendous hairfall, straight from the roots. My hair has thinned down considerably, and it has this brownish color to it (which i am guessing is because of the bleaching effect from chlorine)…and dryness in my scalp. It further makes my scalp very itchy and flaky (which only means dandruff) and is increasing my hair fall cruelly. Also, I have noticed some greying as well. I always washed my hair with Head & Shoulders, But now I alternate it with Selsun Blue and Nizoral and I wash my hair everyday. I have just started using coconut oil in my hair and I condition my hair with 2 eggs and a tablespoon of lime juice every other week… None of it is helping! I am on a well – balanced diet….I was recently diagnosed with GERD (gastro esophageal reflux disease) and I eat Priolesec and Zantac 75 pretty often (though I honestly doubt if this could be the cause). It’s so depressing, I can barely explain myself.
How do I control all of this??? How do I restore my hair to it’s original self???
Also, all that hair that has fallen, will it ever grow back again???

I have severe anxiety, nausea, and GERD which could be related to a low amount of somatostatin or a high amount of CCK. What medicines, herbs, supplements, etc… increase somatostatin or decrease CCK levels?

Wow acid reflux like you wouldn’t believe. What remedy is available in Bangkok?
I was actually thinking of Thai homeopathic (natural) remedies.
