If milk is acid, and according to the answers in http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgGmr8KZrT9ml_iqUewwWZfzy6IX?qid=1006030705102
it is, does it make sense to drink milk when you have a heartburn or ulcer?

it’s still less acidic than the pH of the stomach (pH around 2)
Heartburn and ulcers are different things. A stomach ulcer is generally caused by Helicobacter pylori a bacteria which is best treated by antibiotics. Heartburn may be caused by acid relux or a movement from the stomach up the esophagus and the most effective treatment I have found for that in terms of getting quick relief is a product called maalox which is a mixture of magnesium and aluminum hydroxides. This tends to neutralize the acid causing the burning sensation and give relief.
