Antacids over the counter for heartburn ?

I can’t find a list of all the Antacids over the counter meds.
Also, wehn you compare the molecular formulas of different Antacids, what is the COMMON Mechanism to fight the symptom of Heartburn ?

the fundamental mechanism in an antacid is acid/base neutralization
most antacids are salts of weak acids and are, therefore, slightly basic
strong bases are highly NOT RECOMMENDED because they hydrolyze stuff like proteins – not a good plan
in this case Drano really would hurt your ‘pipes’
