Any suggestions for acid reflux often also called GERD?
I have researched several websites, but no permanent solutions have appeared. One suggestion using a certain brand of apple worked for me, although I used an apple available in a local market. I still do not know the brand the website eluded to, as I did not pay for the fee to get the information. Being on limited income sucks.
Thank all those who have participated in my question. I believe in natural solutions. Pharmecuitical companies ar rich enough. A lot of good ideas. I took prescriptions without success.

please, soak two tsp of jaggery in a cup of water over night. .next day morning, squeeze one half of one lemon into the water.- with jaggery.. add some more water, so that it becomes 200 ml. mix it well, filter out lemon seeds if any and consume it in the empty stomach and u may take coffee or tea after 30 minutes. do this for 30 days, so that ur acid reflux wll be permanently solved..instead of jaggery, u can as well add one tsp of honey.
Protonix. It’s a medicine.
Nexium never worked for me.
stay away from acidy foods, like tomatoes, ketchup, stuff like that.
acid reflux is terrible.
a dr. told me that chamomile tea helped. I couldn’t stand the taste.
i hear ya. i got the gerd too.i take my priolosec evry day but still get that burning in my stomach. i need to get tests done but no ins. we just got to watch spicy foods and caffiene, but thats my to favorite things. they say if you dont get it cured it will go into cancer. theres pills that heel but i cant afford that either. if you ever find out let us know.
I’ve been told that all soda intake should be eliminated and fatty foods such as chips should also be eliminated.
I have that and take protonix…
when I forget a day or two to take a pill and it catches up, I drink about a tablespoon or so of apple cider vinegar and that helps… another option is to mix a tablespoon or so of baking soda in a glass of water and drink it.
The apple cider vinegar sounds weird, but it really does help.
these aren’t permanent solutions, only temp, but they do help.
if you want permanent without medications or surgery, then you need to look at your diet and what is causing the problem and adjust it accordingly.
In Fact a lot of people who have been told that the have Gerd.. Have to little acids in their system ,instead of to many.. Maybe try using some digestive enzymes .. I did and haven’t had heartburn since.. Get some decent ones and take them when you eat.. And see if it helps.. I haven’t heard anything about apples.. But sometimes a bit of real lemon juice in some water will help… Good Luck : )
I have also heard that vinegar helps. Use the raw organic kind like Bragg. 2-4 tablespoons before meals and when you have heart burn (GERD). I know it doesn’t sound like it would feel good on a sore tummy, but I’ve heard it works. I don’t really get it often, so I haven’t tried it.
