Are cinnamon or garlic allowed in a GERD diet?
I’ve been dealing with GERD dietary restrictions for a fair few months now, and so far I’ve managed to adjust to most of issues regarding it. My system is about as delicate as can be – I’m talking the crackers and croutons in a salad, with light vinaigrette dressing (the gentlest I’m aware of), is known to give me some issues. So does the yeast and dairy in cookies – so, quite literally, the ‘try a little and see if it hurts’ rule doesn’t apply at all as forbidden is forbidden for me.
I’m not entirely sure in regards to some spices, however – season all, a kind of salt commonly used for seasoning meat, seems to be alright if not over-used, however the addition of garlic salt is questionable to me. I also rather enjoy cinnamon sugar concoctions, yet I can’t find any information in regards to cinnamon.
