Can energy drinks cause heartburn?

I sometimes get heartburn whenever I drink 5 hour energy drink. I think it’s heartburn, my throat feels a little acidy and I started belching.

yes, the civic acid in anything, will cause heartburn, (i once ate an orange and got heartburn)
yes, there is a lot of sugar in them and that can cause heartburn. my husband is that way, when he eats or drinks sugar he is popping zantac for hours
I like mine unopened, this saves me money, and i never suffer from heartburn. Have a nice day.
