Can GERD cause neck pain and give you hiccups all the time?
I was diagnosed with it a few months ago but i’m not sure if i’ve still got it, i keep getting this constant ache in my upper left chest right on the part where it joins my neck, i also get lower throat pain and neck stiffness caused by the ache, also i get earaches and pains in my lower left chest and in the right side of my chest on and off.
I’m also still getting this weird taste in my mouth and i get hiccups all the time like after i’ve ate or drank and just randomly sometimes, i also feel sick during a meal and after.
Do i still have GERD?
I also have mild Gastritis too.
I’m confused.
I’m 18. xo

I was initially diagnosed with GERD and got the taste in my mouth as well as the pain in my lower throat (that’s the acid from your stomach backing up). I did not get any of the other pains that you mention. After an endoscopy my GI doc figured out that I have Barrett’s Esophagus.
If I were you I would call my doctor (I hope your seeing a specialist for this) and let him / her know how you’re feeling. Make sure there is nothing else going on. You’re far too young to be feeling like that!
Best of luck to you!
