Can GERD cause you to feel like there is something in your throat, plus am getting a chronic cough, like coughing up phlegm that stinks and it burns my throat. My throat feels hot. It’s really irritating me

yes absolutely. are you taking anything for the GERD? how long has it been like this? its sounds severe, as though its been there for a while – you really should make sure you are treated for it as your symptoms indicate that the GERD is certainly not of a mild form.
