Can heartburn cause chest tightness or shortness of breath?

I have some chest tightness, which is making it feel like Im having difficult breathing could heartburn cause this? I also went to the hospital last week & they said bronchitis could be setting in but I also always have BAD heartburn could that also cause some of the chest tightness & feeling short of breathe?

Yes, heart burn or acid reflux can cause chest pain when then can make you become short of breath. But, bronchitis can also cause these symptoms. You can take an over the counter antacid regularly to see if this goes away. If it does not, then you follow the advice for bronchitis that they gave you at the hospital. You can also go to WebMd.com and type in bronchitis and read up on this for additional hints on getting well.
