I’ve had a sore throat for a month and i’m wondering if I could still have a sore throat caused by GERD, even if I am on nexium. I have no redness and the pain alternates from side to side on my throat.

No, GERD affects the stomach and esophagus not the throat. A chronic sore throat could have many causes. Do you smoke? I would make an appointment with your primary care doctor and talk it over with them, it will take a physical exam to figure out what is going on.
The previous answer is inaccurate.
YES you can have a sore throat caused by GERD! How long have you been taking medication for it? It takes typically 12 weeks to work for GERD. I would give it some time…but definitely bring this up with your GI doc.
