Can I incorporate ginger into my anti-GERD diet?

I also take Nexium 40 mg once in the morning. I’m talking two ginger snaps, plus one piece of soft ginger candy from the health food store, per day. I’ve read everywhere that ginger has good digestive properties, as well as works as a mild reflux remedy.

Nothing helps my tummy feel better than to have some ginger ale. I’m not sure how much ginger you are getting in the ginger snap cookies. I like to eat candied pieces of ginger. They can be quite spicy, but do help with a tummy ache and I suppose reflux too. I have GERD, too..
Absolutely no problem with taking ginger. You wil want to avoid peppermint though as it relaxes the stomach muscles and promotes GERD.
