I have GERD. Now, ever since I was in my late teens I have gotten pain in the right side of my chest not long after taking ibuprofen for migraines. It feels like the ibuprofen gets stuck in my chest and just doesn’t want to go down for at least a couple of hours. So my migraines go away and are substituted with chest pain. Sometimes I even throw up from the pain.

Back in 2006 I started having nasty stomach acid and didn’t know why. It just hit me out of nowhere one day and has been around since. So I’ve always taken zantac/ranitidine and it helps but only sometimes. I also throw up from it every time the zantac doesn’t work. I finally went to a doctor about it after getting frustrated with it happening everyday to me for so long. I was diagnosed with GERD.

So I want to know if my chest pain I get from taking ibuprofen stems from my GERD. When I started to get the chest pains in my late teens was that when the GERD was starting? What exactly can be done to help stop the GERD completely?

Please don’t tell me to take the apple cider crap because that makes me throw up and doesn’t help me at all. It also doesn’t matter what I eat or drink because I get bad stomach acid anyway. The only time this doesn’t happen is if I don’t eat and I’m sure as hell not going to not eat.

It doesnt really burn like heartburn but is extremely painful. Like someone sitting on my chest.

Has anyone heard of GERD causing pain on the roof of the mouth? This is happening to a 11 year old girl who suffers from GERD. Has anyone ever heard of this happening from GERD? She says it feels like she ate something hot and the top of her mouth is burnt. But – it isn’t red or swollen and shows no visible signs that would cause discomfort.

And – she is going to the doctor later today – I just wanted to check in at Y! Answers.

to have white patches? I have symptoms of acid reflux, but I do not really have a sore throat. I don’t have a fever, but is this just the beginning of getting something worse?

im a 28 female, and i keep going to the er and my doc office because i keep getting bad chest pains and shortness of breath..the doctors have checked me for heart problems including heart attack and insist that it has nothing to do with my heart and they all keep saying i have GERD. Can this really cause these symptoms?? Please help if u can and thanks in advance. If u have a question i might be able to answer just let me know.
I also get pains in my arms and im getting sooo depressed and upset because i keep going to the docs and they are rude to me at the er cause i have been there so much

I was diagnosed with it a few months ago but i’m not sure if i’ve still got it, i keep getting this constant ache in my upper left chest right on the part where it joins my neck, i also get lower throat pain and neck stiffness caused by the ache, also i get earaches and pains in my lower left chest and in the right side of my chest on and off.
I’m also still getting this weird taste in my mouth and i get hiccups all the time like after i’ve ate or drank and just randomly sometimes, i also feel sick during a meal and after.
Do i still have GERD?
I also have mild Gastritis too.
I’m confused.

I started out with conjestion and felt like had to constatly clear my throat and panic attacks like i couldn’t breath and then it went to not being able to swallow food choking on the food to extreme heartburn and back pain and burning. now i just have a froggy throat burning sensation in my throat and dry stuffy nose slightly and extreme heartburn and bloated stomach . Can anyone tell me what this is?

it’s been 3 days since I changed my son’s milk and now he vomits the entire milk after each feeding. he didn’t vomit for the first 2 days but now he begins to show signs of GERD, he also has loose stools. is it possible that at 6mos GERD will develop, likewise could it be the new milk that causes this problem?. His pedia is out of the country until saturday. this worries me a lot.

I cannot sleep, barely talk, and the acid in my throat is killing me. I am on Prevacid and Carafate twice a day. I am eating a bland diet and I do not have chrones.

had EKG etc, done – it’s not my heart…but am still experiencing severe chest pains in midle of chest. dr. says its GERD. my left arm is tingly, and so are my lips. could GERD cause tingling sensations? I have taken prilosec, protonix, apple cider vinegar – pain still persists. how can i make pain go away?

started zantac yesterday, I have been sick ever since, it goes away in the evening.
I know that sometimes gerd causes vomiting(which I’ve never had)? what do you is causing the nausea?

Feel nauseous,heartburn and intestine cramping. I get it in episodes that lasts about 2-4 days.

If understand right the muscle is weak, opening when it should not (mine is at night, or any time I fall asleep). With that in mind I do not want to inhibit stomach acid as the meds. Doctors describe do…this would cause even more problems it would seem….I want to know if there is a way to strenghthen involuntary muscles. thanks Kathy
