I was told by the doc that I’m having GERD cos I have sour taste in my mouth and I felt giddy and headache very nausea and bloated. I also have pain in my arms back and legs are all these pain causes by GERD or I have other problem?

In October I went to a doctor with a firm lymph node in the right side of my neck and pain in my liver and spleen area. A sonogram showed mild hepatosplenomegaly. Now I have swollen tonsils (the right more than the left) and there is a slow-growing ulcer on the right tonsil that has persisted for 4 weeks. There seem to be other smaller ulcers as well, but they aren’t painful. The only pain has been in my neck and head, and sometimes tingling in my cheeks.

I am worried this is an oral cancer that is spreading but could this be GERD as well? Does GERD cause an ulcer that will grow slowly and last for a month, I have read that 3 week ulcers that are painless should be considered malignant until otherwise proven. Please help! Going to doc tomorrow but hoping he will say GERD!

If this is true how do u take out the chlorine in the water ? Any special filters that can filter all chlorine in water ??

I had an upper endonoscopy and I was diagnosed with GERD but my only real symptom is abdominal fullness/bloating feeling and pain. Can GERD cause left sided pain sometimes through the ribs and a full bloated feeling. I thought it was only reflux?

I was diagnosed with GERD a few years ago and i can’t say ive experienced this before but i noticed after i ate some taco salad my throat and chest started getting an itchy feeling like making me wanna cough and now and then i’ll get an itch on my tongue. Im not having any swelling and ive never had an allergic reaction to food. Does GERD cause this?

Well I’m 15 and I’ve had severe "acid reflux" for a few months now. It seemed to come out of nothing, with no lifestyle changes or anything. It’s so bad that I need 2x the normal dose of ranitidine to control it, and ranitidine is the only medicine that works.

It’s bad enough where it’s as if I’d swallowed red hot razorblades if I don’t take 300mg of ranitidine every night before I go to sleep, and I try not to use it during the day because that’ll build a tolerance, and once ranitidine stops working I’m fucked and am going to get esophageal cancer if there isn’t some way to fix it quickly that my doctor can suggest.

What could be causing it, what can I do about it while I’m waiting to get to a doctor?

I do all the obvious things like don’t eat a couple hours before you sleep, avoid acidic and spicy foods(I can’t stand spicy food anyway, it’s disgusting), and some other things….

My 9 month old son has just started sleeping on his stomach. He wakes up at around 4AM for a small bottle and goes back to sleep. Last night I fed him, burped him, and put his to sleep on his back. Within 5 minutes he was on his tummy. I heard him whimpering a bit and this morning he wheezed (whistled) upon exhaling. Now the previous night we did the same routine and when he turned onto his stomach he vomited in his crib. Last night he did not vomit but that was because I gave him a smaller bottle.

Here is what I think happened: Last night after rolling onto his tummy, the formula came back up via reflux and some may have gotten into his lungs or dried in his nose, which is what caused both the whimpering and the wheezing. As a result, we are going to wean him from his night time feedings since he is old enough.

I though that stomach sleeping was better for babies with GER? We did not have this problem when he slept on his back exclusively.
He has officially been diagnosed and takes 15mg of Prevacid at night.

Hello, I don’t even know where to begin. I have a thyroid nodule that has been biopsed and I am waiting for the results. I can feel the nodule when I swallow. I am so nervous that I have thryoid cancer that I took anti anxiety pills, but now stopped. Took some trazadone to sleep but now stopped. I was getting sharp chest pains and felt food sticking in my throat halfway down in esophoges. So, I started prilosec thinking I might have GERD. Could stress cause GERD? Well, the chest pains are gone, but the food stuck in my throat feeling is still there. So, then I thought that was from the possible thyroid cancer. So I asked my endicrinologist and he said they are not related. So, I am at a loss what this is from. I am so freaked out I have cancer and it has spread down my esophages from my thyroid. Anyone know what this is from? Also, other symptom since this all started is morning congestion every morning. Never had that before either. (2 months now) Please help me?
