ok so here it goes. I have pretty bad GERD, and stiffness in my neck. I just started physical therapy for the neck, upper scope to come for the GERD. My question is, is my neck pain, and buldging discs, with the GERD causing me the chronic migraines and ringing in my right ear? I lay down to sleep and its like i was at a big concert or something. Randomly through the day, the ringing gets real loud, for a min or 2, then goes away, and i can only tell if its still hurting when its quet. It hurts behind my ears, along with pressure in the back of my head and neck. Im quite a mess, and im kind of stumped on what i can do here. Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated. I do have a stuffy nose, and a lot of pressure around my nose and sides of my head. I had a CT scan of my head, as well as an MRI, only found no problems with sinus’s, and the MRI only found the bulding discs. Thanks.
sorry didnt specify, wasnt in an accident or anything like that. Yet i have been spending a lot of time on a computer either at work or at home. Trying to work on getting back to the gym after PT. I just feel weak, and sick like im going to throw up, from the GERD. My nails turn purple a lot when the pain gets real bad. If i stand up from sitting or lie down, feels like the pressure in my head increases in certain spots, like the blood flow is going crazy on me. Just trying to get better is all.

I’m a 24/f, and was diagnosed with GERD (acid reflux) 8 years ago, I was on Prevacid for awhile. And the problem seemed to go away. However I was at the doctors today (due to stomach pain & indigestion) and he put me on Prolosec for GERD. (This is a different dr, I’ve moved out of state since) My question is. Can acid reflux (gerd) cause pain at the belly button? I’m having a constant sometimes sharp pangs around my navel. I’ve been a bit anxious lately (getting married this week!) and the doc said that the fist/full type feeling right below my ribcage was from GERD, but he never really said anything about the belly button pain. Any thoughts on this? A pulled muscle? He said to come back for a GI if I wasn’t feeling better in 2 weeks. Just wanted to see what others thought about this, any similar feelings?
Thanks!
I’ve been having the umbelical pain for a few days now. It’s like a sharp stretched out too far thing behind my belly button. He said my appendix felt fine. I have the normal, "bride wanting things to go right" jitters I’d say

From what I have read, it appears that it is. I have had diarrhea for just over 24 hours and since I recently (about two weeks ago) started taking generic pepcid for GERD my first thought was that that would be the cause. So, then my question is, as a side effect will it be a continuous thing and not go away? Should I stop taking the pepcid and try to get an alternative from my doctor or will an alternative have the same effect?

Like many, I suffer from GERD.
Recently I have been getting dull chest pains around the area of my heart and sometimes accompanying dull pain down my left arm. The pain tends to last the whole day which can be quite unsettling and worrying. I have recently went back onto black coffee again which may have contributed to it.
The reason I mentioned GERD is that burping can sometimes help relieve the pain but it also causes rumbling where the pain is whilst i’m burping which doesn’t feel normal.
So what i’m asking is could GERD and black coffee be causing these regular pains and is this a common symptom of GERD?

I am 16. For the past few months I have been having stomach pain and cramping.
The stomach pain is usually on my left side and it is not like chronic pain, it is just uncomfortable.
Before I used to go # 2 like once a day about and it wasn’t strain full or anything, no cramps or anything. But ever since I have had stomach pain my #2 has been ALL over the place. Now I go 2+ times a day and I have cramps all day, I fart all the time (both going and faring seem to relieve my cramps and my stomach ach somewhat). Some days my # 2 is more like diareha, some days it is harder, some days it sinks, some days it floats, some days it looks to have blood in it (I doubt it is actually blood though it just looks that way).
Also ever since I was 12 years old I have had problems with burping.
I already went to the doctor like right when the stomach pain started and they didn’t do much. They just told me I have GERD, which causes my burping and to take some mylanta to relieve it. They said going 2x a day is normal and not to worry about it and the doctor felt my stomach said she didn’t feel anything abnormal and said that I might have just had a stomach bug or something causing the pain and change in #2.
I think I have IBS, what do you think

Here is one site which links burping to IBS

Should I go back to the doctor and say I think I might have IBS?? Thanks!!
Oh I also sometimes get what feels like my stomach is burning (like heartburn but in my stomach).

My husband has been having so many symptoms and has had 3 CT scans and an endoscopy in 2010 already! And yet he is still in pain and not found an actual condition yet! So I thought maybe other people might give us clues in which direction to look in???
These are the things he has and/or been feeling…
Pulmonary Embolism (PE) should be cleared in a month. Lastest CT scan shows its cleared up. But still on blood thinners
Early Type 2 diabetes; insulin intolerant but has not yet reached levels for pills, shots, etc.
Acute fatty Liver, no pills
Severe GERD w causes:
vomiting, stomach pain, excessive and loud burping (has taken several diffent anti-acid but none has worked longer than a month or 2)
Vomiting almost daily of black tarry substance and sometimes blood follows. Also stools have started to become black!
slight weight loss, fatigue, sleeplessness
depression and medication for it.
His blood work do not indicate any high levels that cause concern. His CT scans do not show anything out of the ordinary. And his endoscopy was ok as well. With all of his symptoms and no relief, he is losing faith in medicine and feels like a hypochondriac but it is obvious something is there yet no one is picking it up. I practically live on webmd n other web sites…trying to find any clue to help. We’ve checked all types of cancer as well and wonder if it could be pancreatic but since blood work doesn’t show it the Dr. says it’s probably not it. Prostate cancer runs in his family but he has been getting checked for that as well!
Any suggestions?? Ideas??? Advice?? On what our next step should be…. Ur help is much appreciated!!
Thanks!
