I was recently diagnosed with GERD. I have shortness of breath/restricted breathing, chest pain, and muscle fatigue. Do these symptoms generally go away as GERD is treated?

I leave Oct. 6th for my AIT in the army. I have been to the doctor about the "lump in my throat" and he said it was Post Nasal Drip. Well its been 2 months and its still there and as i read more it seems i have symptoms of GERD ( the only symptom i have is the lump in my throat.) Can anyone share with me some remedies on how to get rid of this "lump in my throat"? I am very healthy and in shape. I just need some help its annoying! Thanks

im 25 years old, at first i thought it was heart, because i sometimes feel small pains on my left chest, but i went to 10 doctors already i admit im very much anxious on how i feel they checked my ecg thrice and xray and all went out ok!, im on nexium and novaluzid they diagnosed me to have GERD and the two helped a lot! i sometimes get shooting pains in different parts of my left chest and after that i burp a lot. Do you have it also, just want to know if im not alone in this thank you so much and GOD BLESS

I have GERD and I have so many different symptoms that i know have to do with GERD cause it happens after I eat something im not supposed to. so i would like to ask if you have GERD make a list of the symptoms that you have so i can compare with mine that way i know im not going crazy.

-pressure in chest and back
-regurgitation
-sometimes after i eat and bend over or get up to fast my heart races
-burping
-nausea
-dizziness (not always) but it happens
-anxiety
-stress

Also would like to know if you had GERD how did you get rid of it? if you got rid of it by losing weight how did you do it to loose the weight…I really want to cure my GERD it feels awful.

I’ve been reading online about GERD because I always feel like I’ve got something stuck at the bottom of my throat

my annual physical is in 3 weeks and I’ll ask my doctor then but I just want to know what’s up first

First, I HAVE been to my doc a thousand times over and he doesnt know where the chest pain comes from, and its certainly not panic attacks. When i get the chest pains (generally between my breastbone), i have the urge to burp and my throat swells a little, making it more difficult to swallow. Is this consistent with what GERD could possibly cause?

Ok,none of the pediatricians in this area will see a baby without insurance. My son is exhibiting EVERY symptom of GERD. Is there anything I can do about this on my own? We have a pending medicaid case,but no doctors in this area will even see them with a pending medicaid case. It’s a "pay up front in full or don’t be seen". Should I just start buying the formula for that,and try it out,and see if he takes to it well? I’m not sure how long my case is going to take to process,and he’s spitting up at EVERY feeding,and eating less. He’s also teething. He’s spitting up a LOT though. Any advice here? Should I buy the formula (ie enfamil AR or something) and try that out until he gets in to see a dr?

He was seen by a pediatrician TWO TIMES since he’s been born,and at that point,it wasn’t yet a problem.
Ok,so I tried the rice cereal bottle thing,and I guess more of his bottles will have to be made that way. He barely spit up any at all,and seems way more content. I started to sit him up after he eats in his swing.
We’ve been making the occasional cereal bottle for awhile now,but more of them are going to have to be made that way,or all of them.

Hello, i wonder if burping all the time and a warm full feeling in the back of your throat when burping could be acid reflux? I am pregnant and have had a sore throat for a while and excessive mucus in my throat, and contstant throat clearing. been to the docs and he says its Acid reflux but i dont get heartburn so i am confused

Hey. I’m a singer, and I’m getting worried because recently, my range has been deteriorating and I don’t know why. But recently I’ve figured that I may have acid reflux.

I have been waking up with a throat so soar I can barely speak. Every morning, without fail, this has been happening. Also, I notice that my tongue gets a little white and foamy sometimes. In addition, sometimes it will randomly feel like there’s a fiery volcano erupting in my throat.

Singing-wise, my belting range has been stomped on and crushed. I used to be able to belt up to a G4 and now I struggle on/past D4. Whatever this is needs to go away NOW.

My first question is, does this mean I have acid reflux / GERD?

My second question is for singers: If you are a singer who has had acid reflux problems, where you able to overcome them or were your chords permanently damaged?

Third question: Besides antibiotics, are there any household remedies for acid reflux I should try? If I have it?

Has anyone ever had the chest pain or nausea or left arm pain and hand pain and ringing in ears with or with full stomach feeling or gurgling around heart like.What kind of chest pain or arm pain also shortness of breath like you overate.In this past year i have had 2 chest xrays 4 ekgs and 2 different blood test all 3 doctors have said gastric pain and or weight or anxiety.I have been to the hospital 3 different times with three different doctors.

They say I can’t eat spicy, tomato sauce, fatty, citrus, etc….but what is left there to eat besides veggies, fruits, and poultry? I don’t want to starve myself. Because sometimes it feels that way. My GERD symptoms are somewhat improving, but what else can I eat? Do I need some kind of dietary supplement?

I was told that sometimes when you think you have sinus problems it is really GERD symptoms

tell what the symtoms are…i get a full nauseas feeling,along with a hot feeling face,w/no fever…just feels hot….also seem like i get a cough at night that about makes me vomit,but hardly ever heartburn……does it sound like it to you? what where your symptoms? do you take nexium prilosac or?

I am beginning to wonder if my daughter has GERD. Heres her symptoms:

She chokes/coughs during and sometimes after feedings.

She hates laying flat, and she sometimes will spit up (so I elevate her)

She hiccups CONSTANTLY sometimes resulting in her spitting her food back up. And her hiccups make her VERY fussy.

And she swallows quite a bit. And even acts like shes chewing at times.

What do you think? I am definitely going to bring it up to the doctor and see what they say.
I don’t know are GERD and acid reflux the same thing? I just read something about GERD, but maybe but maybe its acid reflux… I don’t know shes my first.

do you suggest i skip dinner tonight to give my stomach a break? i feel so bloated nauseas and can’t stand it. will clear liquids help?
i haven’t eaten since 9 am this morning… almost 12 hours ago… so i don’t think its my oatmeal….. i have an appt with a GI dr. but not til april 14th i feel miserable.

My mother has had GERD for the longest time. She has been prescribe Priolosec currently which is doing absolutly nothing for her. Her doctor told her to take 2 capsules a day instead of one and if it doesnt work she can try Nexium. In the past, she has taken Nexium, which is said works for her. But now, her symptoms are worse. She has stomach pains all day, sometimes she gets the chills, and really has no appetite for the food she eats. I know she is very fustrated b/c she doesnt enjoy her food anymore, and she is in pain all day long. What can she do? Are there any receipes or cookbooks specifically for ppl w/ GERD?
