Help! I need tips.
I have been have sinus/(mucus in the throat symptoms) since probably February…which was….musical season! I’ve been singing all the way till April for the musical, then my coughing began to peak during the performances (my voice had become even worse, I had difficulty reaching high notes smoothly)! Everytime I go to school now, I start to cough. Or if I’m in the cold outside, I may cough. And if I lie down, my speaking voice becomes hoarse. Now that I’m resting at home (vacation), my coughing is diminishing although I do get this random "allergic-like reaction" sometimes (don’t know if it’s allergies, I never had them before). In the morning, the mucus buildup is worse. I guess my singing voice is recovering bit by bit. Yes, I can sing high notes after warming up a little bit, but they are very soft and quiet with my head voice. Belting was one of my best things when it comes to singing…Now…I can’t even belt above a G4. My chest voice sounds absolutely terrible, too. The middle register in particular is where I sound best…it is probably the worst now. I am thinking I might have post nasal drip or LPR reflux (I did notice some GERD symptoms sometimes when I exercise). Any tips to recover my singing voice with this chronic cough/mucus buildup?

i have been having severe chest pain and gerd symptoms with out heart burn…had a ct scan that showed i had hiatel hernia "a lrage one", but just had an upper endoscopy and NO hiatel hernia, my question is what could the doctor think was a hiatel hernia but is not?? of course i am goona see the doc but i have to wait two weeks and would like to have a idea… i also have been have weird neurological symptoms mydoc can not explain – severe weakness, weakness in my jaw muscle etc…

Mannnn, I simplyy cannot take this anymore – I have an extreme migraine that is bringing me to tears. I can’t eat anything due to the fact food makes me SICK to my stomach. I get severe nausea and I feel like if I take another bite, that am going to puke. I was diagnosed with GERD, and I’ve been taking Nexium but how come it’s still taking over my life?? I ate with my boyfriend today, and I’ve been having eating problems, so today I tried to force myself to eat a little more than I normally do. I could feel it regurgitating and backing up in my throat, and it burned. Isn’t that what the hell the NEXIUM is for? To prevent acid reflux and allow you to life your damn life. Please help! – I’ve also been sleeping alot (idk if that has to do with anything) Couple people asked me if I was pregnant. Could I possibly be pregnant and having GERD symptoms as well? Idk help please.
Also I get lightheaded & dizzyyy… I just don’t know what to do. This is taking over my life. Am only 17 years old.

I had my period two weeks late and it lasted for three days like usual.But right after that I was having horrible sharp pains in my stomach, bladder,sides, under my rib cage, my hip bone [my hip bone also felt like it was being cut into with a kinfe] ,three inches above my belly button, and my chest, I was dizzy, tired, always in pain, bloated after I ate anything,lost my appetite, felt sick in my throat and chest [not stomach] and I thought it was my GERD symptoms returning.This all lasted for a week, then my period returned again a week later,this time it lasted 11 days and it was heavy. Anemia? Anyone have any ideas?
My mom wont take me to the doctor by the way…

I sometimes feel a burning at the bottom of my throat, but never in my chest. I sometimes have an odd taste in my mouth, but I think that is the pine mouth I still somewhat have.

So I have GERD and anxiety and I’m currently treating the GERD with Protonix 40mg a day. I get these sensations where I have a burp and it comes up to my throat and gets stuck and it feels like I’m going to choke so I have to force it out. It is really irritating me. I always have to take deep breathes due to this anxiety problem and I’m probably getting trapped air that needs to come out. Has anyone else experienced this from either GERD or Anxiety or Both and how did you cope with it? Any tips?

Although I had no acid reflux symptoms an upper GI showed the beginnings of GERD so my physician started me on Prilosec OTC. Within days I began having a feeling of a lump in my throat with increased gas and burping. When I wake up in the morning I’m fine until approx. 1/2 hour after taking my morning dosage and it continues until I go to bed at night. Strangely, if I eat or drink something acidic (i.e. glass of wine) the sensation goes away temporarily. Other foods/drinks do not seem to make any difference. I’ve looked up the common side effects and the lump in the throat doesn’t seem to be one of them. Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone know what might be causing it?

My son is now about to turn 4 months and has had reflux symptoms since 2 weeks, although he was not properly diagnosed and medicated until about 2 months old. We started with Zantac, but that didn’t work, and then were eventually given Prevacid 15 mg solutabs. Our doctor told us to give him only half a pill a day. The first week was still rough, but slowly things started to get better and he seemed like a different baby. Lately though it seems as though his symptoms may be reappearing. The last two weeks I’ve noticed an increase in "reflux" type behavior. He had been able to sleep soundly for 1-2 hour naps during the day, and now only sleeps 30 minutes at a time, waking crabby and unrested. He has the hiccups nearly every day, and they are not just regular hiccups, they are "wet" hiccups, it almost sounds like he is bringing something up each time and then swallowing it. He has also began to have bouts of inconsolable crying, much the same as he had in the beginning before the medication. Two days in a row now he has actually woken up crying, something that hasn’t happened in weeks. He is very restless all night long too. I suspect that during his light sleep phases he is awakened by some kind of discomfort – does this sound possible?

Our ped said that as baby gets older either we will notice that he is better every day, or we will notice GERD symptoms returning as the med is no longer substantial enough. This is what appears to be happening. Unfortunately our doctor is not at the office today, and she is the only one that really knows our situation that I feel comfortable talking to.

I am really at my wits end. I’ve known something is wrong with my baby from the beginning and I thought that our battle with this awful disease was under control, but now I feel like a new mom again with no idea what’s wrong with her baby. I just want him to feel better, but I don’t know what to do.

Oh, he is also having severe problems BFing today. He will start to drink and then pull off and start screaming… a behavior that has also reappeared in the past couple days. I wish this would just get easier. I’m not sure what to do.

1. Do you have completely symptoms free while you are on PPI drugs or you it just reduce the severity of symptoms?
2. When you are on PPI drugs, do you still have mild burning sensation when your stomach is empty especially early in the morning?
3. What are the chances to progress to Ulcer, Barrett’s disease and how long it would take?

IM 18 years old i keep thinking im gonna have a heart attack my name is Ben old ive been checked over 100 times for Heart problems including EKG ECG Echo and Nuclear.. Nothing found.. why do i get sharp pains in my chest area upper left side where i think the heart is at it hurts sometimes sometimes its just bothersome ive been taking Prisolec OTC it has helped somewhat and for Heart burn I THINK i hope its just hearrt burn i gargle with a little bit of Bakin Soda and Warm water Mixed Tell its dissosolved it does help.. But how can i permnintley get rid of my chest pains.. they are bothersome and cause my to have panic attack which in turn make me want to call EMS services.. which i have.. i am running out of time on my insurance and if i have to call EMS again they will charge over 500 dollars and i will have to pay for that i am scared that it could still be my heart or bad cause of GERD if so.. why am i getting these chest pains and why am i suffering these chest pains i am tired of them and i wan’t them to go away Permaninity i am eating less acid foods and no Fatty foods for months but i continue to have *what i hope is heart burn and not Heart problems I’ve been checked a trillion times and they have always found nothing wrong with my heart.. they say its healthy and the functions on it are healthy to.. so i don’t know what to do.. The chest pains continue and My Chest hurts but does somewhat get better after taking a half teaspoon of baking soda in combination of Prilosec im 18 years old They haven’t found a problem with my heart nor do i have high blood pressure and low cholesterol they have done a complete blood count CBC and have found every level to be normal.. so i don’t know what it is its bothersome and causes me to have chronic anxiety … and panic attacks 18 and im worried that im going to have one soon and im also exercising…these chest pains sometimes go to my arm… and hurt there but ONLY in the arm not in the chest at the same time this has been happening for about 5 months now and i am sick of it if these chest pains do not stop i think i am going to go insane i just want to live a normal happy Un Chest pain side Life if you guys can explain About heart burn or GERD symptoms please be as specific as possible.. I know about heart problem symptoms and i do not have them.. Thank my lord..

I am Scared of these chest pains i can’t seem to get rid of em no madder what i take or do… does this sound Very Serious?
