I actually wouldn’t say ‘chest’ pains because its actually like right under my left nipple, and or a little to the left of my nipple or around.
This pain usually occurs after I eat, but when I looked up heartburn/gerd the symptoms don’t match up. I don’t get any pain in the center of the chest, nor around the stomach/neck like the symptoms say. I am a 21 year old male, I went to the doctor about 3 years ago about "discomfort" near my left nipple/armpit area and he just said It might of been the way I slept, I asked if it were heart related and he said it didn’t seem likely and he took my pulse and listend to my heartbeat.
The pain lasts about 15 mins then just goes away. When I eat, I do however drench my food in spicy things (peppers, hot sauce etc) So thats why I originally thought it could be heartburn, but again like I said, the pain ONLY resides in my left nipple area, sometimes near the armpit. I unfortunately have no health insurance so seeing a doctor is pretty difficult.
what else could this be?
UPDATE*
(I couldn’t find a way to ‘reply’ to your question so im posting it as an update)
When I went to the doctor the 1st time, he examined the area pretty thoroughly with his hand, looking for bumps etc. And he kept on insisting it wasn’t anything big, just maybe some muscle spasms. Because sometimes the pain is like right by my armpit, like if you put your index finger in th inside of your armpit and your thumb on the chest/armpit and sort of pinch it, thats where the aches sometimes reside. I sometimes think about it way to much and worry so much that sometimes I think after I think about it so much, it starts to hurt. And i’ll over exam it over the internet and get very stressed out reading about other illnesses. Thank you so much for posting some info for the no health insurance! I will look into it and make an appointment asap.

Husband is STUBBORN!!!
He has been diagnosed with
GERD
ASTHMA
BAD ALLERGIES
SEVERE SLEEP APNEA
SPOTS SHOWING UP IN XRAYS IN BOTH LUNGS
RE-OCCURING BRONCHITIS YEARLY
LIVER DISEASE
NON STOP MIGRAINES
TAKES BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS TO REDUCE SWELLING IN VESSELS IN BRAIN
AND JUST GOT OVER MRSA FROM HAVING LOW IMMUNE SYSTEM
So now he keeps canceling his appointments because he is sick of being told something is wrong.
Just these past two weeks..he has developed a cough (which he claims are his allergies bothering) but it sounds like a softer smokers cough (mind you he has never smoked)
And the other night, he threw up in his sleep (he claims its he GERD) but he choked, hacked and cough for an hour afterwards because he said his lungs bothered him afterwards.
The more I research online the more I am finding these are all symptoms of lung cancer..but of course he thinks I’m crazy for suggestion to go back to doctors.
Anyone have experience with lung cancer themselves or seen someone close to them going thru beginning Lung Cancer to advise?
Yes I know..go to the doctor..this is just for my own thinking process regarding the matter.
Thank you for your info.
He’s 41, a cop and has worked the jails for years and years. Think he might of gotten it from the jails.

I’ve been having a little bit of pain in my chest and in my back the past two days. The pain is between my shoulders, and down a little from that area. It’s not a bad pain, but I have anxiety so I always over think. I have GERD so I know I sometimes feel symptoms from that. Does anyone know what this could be? I had also went to the doctor a few weeks ago so I had been checked out.

We do know that he doesn’t have crohns disease. the Dr. says it’s GERD. I don’t believe this. I have GERD. and the symptoms aren’t the same. Has doesn;t have acid choking him to death. It is chronic pain in his stomach. And only in his stomach.I hope someone can enlighten me so I can get him some real help. It’s hard to see a 9 year old child having these kinds of pains.
He has ADHD. He doesn’t take medicine because he had so many side effects. he has some problems in school. But it’s with reading and writing. As far as it goes with home. he has it made. It’s not gastritis. I don’t know which wat to turn
It’s not Crohn’s. His markers came back negative. When I take him back to the doctor I’ll ask his to test him for the Diverticulitis. This is more common in people over 60. But it’s worth a try to have it done.

I’m going to talk to a doctor about possibly having GERD. Could he make the diagnosis from symptoms alone or would he need to do an endoscopy?
Thanks guys

Is hibiscus tea alkaline or acidic? My quesion is in regards to drinking this tea daily for someone who has GERD and LPR. Will it make the symptoms worse? Thanks
Actually this is a tea bag with 100% only organic hibiscus leaves. There are no other ingredients. My quesion is hibiscus ok for acid reflux/LPR?

One day suddenly my sister comes home and feels nausea and later on she started throwing up everything she ate. She feels this intense pressure at random times of the day under her sternum and sometimes it happens at night more often than during the day. She feels extremely tired and prefers sleeping in a quiet area. The weird this is that in this past month and a half, there would be days when she would be completely normal, meaning no pain, no vomiting, nothing. She would seems as if she had never been sick. And then after this two or three day period of being normal, she goes back to the pain under her sternum and starts throwing up. Even more, she has lost over 20 pounds in this month and a half. Now we have done blood work, pancreas tests, CT scan of the pelvic and abdomen, and everything has shown up normal. The doctor does not know what is happening and why this is lasting for so long. The initial diagnose was that she is having acid reflux but now it does not seem so. She does not have GERD or any disease dealing with the GI or stomach. Lastly, my sister has headaches everyday and sometimes feels dizzy. She has these headaches in the frontal area of her head and they happen everyday. Her blood pressure sometimes goes up really high and she feels her heart pounding really fast at times. I dont know what is going on. Can someone help me with this? We have tried and dont know what else to do anymore. We really need to know what is going on with my sister.
Thank You.
Oh and she also has headaches.
I meant she also has backaches and sometimes neck aches.
