Heaviness in chest and heart "fluttering". No cough or cold symptoms?
For the past 3 weeks I’ve noticed that throughout the day I have a sensation of my heart fluttering. I can’t think of a better way to describe it, but my heart isn’t racing, just feels like it is fluttering. I don’t get short of breath, but sometimes it makes me feel a little lightheaded. At first I thought the cause could be caffeine, so for 2 weeks I haven’t consumed caffeine, but I still get this sensation several times throughout the day.
A week ago, in addition to this fluttering sensation, I’ve had a feeling of heaviness in my chest. It’s not that noticeable until I take a deep breath. Then it feels like how you might feel if you took a run outside in the cold. I don’t have a runny nose or cold or anything either.
I am a bit overweight, but I’ve been eating balanced meals (grilled chicken salads, fish, etc..) for the past few weeks and drinking a lot of water, along with exercising at least 40 minutes everyday. I don’t have GERD or Asthma and I was wondering what the cause could possibly be?
Thanks!
Thanks for your answers everyone! I don’t really have allergies until midsummer, but I’ll ask my doctor. I haven’t had anxiety problems in years and I’m not under stress and pretty happy
I can’t get a doctors appointment until Thursday. I take a walk/light jog every morning or evening (after work). Perhaps my heart is getting back in shape. Would that make it feel like it’s fluttering 4-5x day?
