Eliminate Heartburn Pain In 2 Day! Doctor & Drug Company Hate This!

Gerd Treatments Archives

My friend said that doctors can tell from a biopsy if cancer will ever show up, even if its 10 years from now. Is that true?

Here’s a bit of back story:

I had an endoscopy a few weeks ago that showed I had bile reflux (bile building up in my stomach), and 12 stomach ulcers, acid reflux, GERD, and gastritis due to a botched gall bladder removal in 2005. I’ve been experiencing these symptoms for years, especially gastritis and bile reflux. I also have suffered from gastroparesis (delayed stomach emptying, which just makes everything worse).

During the endoscopy, he said he took biopsies of my stomach and ulcers and could not find cancer, just very severe gastritis. I’ve been dealing with this every day for 6 years (no doctor other than this one could diagnose it so it was all without treatment). My family has an history of cancer, but not digestive cancer.

Although this doctor was the one who (after 25 doctors/specialists) finally diagnosed it bile reflux and gastritis, I found him googling my problem and feel like I need to find a new doctor. He said my symptoms would be gone in 3 days and I should be healed in 6 weeks, but I haven’t noticed much of a change in the pain level and I still suffer from excess bile in my stomach.

Hardly any doctors know anything about this. So, in addition, if you have any personal experience with bile reflux, or can find a support forum for it, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Doctors and the answer they gave?

Ok back in October of last year I went to a Gastro dr because of complications to my throat which in return he did a endoscopy and some other tests including barium swallow which he reported that I had Gerd and mild case of esophigitus. Not happy with that because it was causing me to have problems getting any solid foods down other then hot cereals and protein drinks which I have been doing since August up til now and he sent me to a Ent which i went in November which the ent says I have LPR.

Now who do I go by and what treatment should I try to resolve my issue? 3 problems and no real answer leaves me stuck with the same problem I have had since August and I don’t know where to go from there.

Does GERD ever just go away?

What I mean is there a cure for it other than surgery? Mine isn’t as severe as others I’ve read about or siblings but it is rather annoying. Is this something that I’ll have to live with from now on or is there an effective treatment to it going away entirely?? I’ve only had for about a year but it’s been a very stressful one.
I am taking Prilosec and have changed my diet significantly. It has helped a lot. Still tho, it gets tiring.

Please help me,anybody have this problem too?

I face constipation on a daily basis.previously I had been diagonised for GERD but I took treatment by then.In the morning I don"t feel the urge to empty my bowel and I have to push myself very hard, but 80% I"d fail tp empty my bowel.
I also Have some sort of ripe liquid come out from my stomach and fill my mouth badly.
CAn anybody tell me what this is?is this serious?

IBS after mononucleosis , advice please!?

Please read this..if anyone has any advice please post! I am desperate..
No doctors have been able to figure out what is wrong with me. I went from being the picture of perfect health to being the sickest person I know in a matter of months. After I came down with mononucleosis, I developed IBS (among many other strange health problems) and doctors chalk it up to "stress" or "anxiety" and I refuse to accept that I am in horrible pain and getting worse and worse every day because of mental problems. I am currently under NO stress and have been under no stress for months and I feel worse than ever. Something is really wrong with me.
Here’s my symptoms
-Severe gas and cramps/ stomachaches
-GERD that barely responds to treatment
-constipation and occasional severe diarrhea
-weight loss/inability to gain weight
-nausea
medications history:
PPI’s make me really ill and don’t seem to help much, and my heartburn seems to have developed a tolerance to everything except Zantac. I was on birth control pills for years and have stopped them to see if symptoms got better, and they did not. I’ve also been put on multiple antidepressants, and they make me extremely ill (upset stomach, etc.)
Ive been tested for soo many things. I’ve had a barium esophagram, upper right quadrant abdominal ultrasound, tons of blood tests, etc. etc. My thyroid has been tested, I’ve had multiple CBC’s, tested for celiac disease…and I am not lactose intolerant, by the way. THe GI doctor pretty much told me to get a colonoscopy/endoscopy and that’s all that he could do. (I don’t have the money so I stopped going to him)
What could it be? My last doctor pretty much gave up on me and I just got a new one I am goin to see in December. What do you think this could be? Is there something I should ask her to test me for? I’m soo depressed at the thought that my body is just wacky from mono and I feel like the worst is yet to come. I’ve been sick for over 2 years and I am only 19. I just want my life back :/
Input appreciated..

pepcid not working-could it be something other than acid reflux/gerd?

Dry throat, symptom of a sprained neck?

I sprained my neck due to prolonged hyperflexion (bending my head down for long periods of time playing guitar) over two weeks ago and my throat has been almost consistently mildly dry since that time. My neck still aches, possibly straining ligaments as well as muscles, and my only other symptoms are mild headaches at the back of my head and the dry throat. Some days it’s not so bad, but late at night it seems to get worse. Drinking liquid makes it feel better so the "dry spot" probably isn’t in the trachea but feels like it’s somewhere around or just below my Adam’s Apple, so somewhere in my esophagus I’m thinking. It doesn’t hurt to swallow or feel obstructed.

Maybe the neck swelling has put pressure on this area? Or pressure on the parotid gland?

Now, a small twist. I’ve been feeling some very slight maxillary and frontal sinus pressure on and off over the last week with the neck pain and headaches. I do not have any fever, swollen lymph nodes, pain in my teeth so if they are infected possibly viral. I could be wrong as the maxillary pressure may just be tense facial muscles and the frontal pressure could be a byproduct of the headaches but the frontal sinuses are tender to the touch. I was not aware of these symptoms when my throat first began to feel dry over two weeks ago.

Current Treatment:
I take 400mg Ibuprofen a day with food and use a heat wrap for my neck and headache symptoms. Things feel like they’re getting better but very slowly. Moving in my sleep is causing some flaring of pain within my neck that I notice when I wake up in the morning. I drink only water, milk, and grapefruit juice now and hardly anything sugary like soda for weeks. I see my PCP in 3 1/2 weeks and if I still have these symptoms then I will definitely see an ENT doctor for my dry throat.

History:
I have tested negative for HIV this month. Last and only chance of exposure over 5 months ago. I suppose it could be a singular oral papilloma/wart that coincidentally occurred with my sprained neck. The only way to know that is if it doesn’t clear up and I see an ENT who could schedule an upper endoscopy. This would really irk me as I only had one chance of exposure, again over 5 months ago. Could be GERD or Esophagitis though I don’t suffer all of the symptoms really. Some other possibly relevant history, I have Celiac’s Disease and have been on a GF diet for 4 years, and also quit smoking cigarettes and marijuana (after 6 years) for good and forever last month as well. I only drink 2-3 alcoholic drinks per week, if that, without any pain or side effects and coffee only a few times per week. I am not on any medications or use any other drugs.

Hi, I’m 19, I have GERD, a hiatial hernia, & a lax esophogeal sphincter. With lifestyle changes, I could function without medications (no insurance). Over the past few months I have been getting worse & have new symptoms: extreme fatiuge, dizzyness, hot face & neck (without fever), rapid pulse along shortness of breath, intense stomach cramping. I only can eat Cheerios. I work full-time, but I am not eligable for health insurance until May. Most days are filled with pain, & nausa, I barely make it. I don’t think we can live if I don’t work, the economy is disasterous here. I can’t go on dissability because I would have to be out of work for 5 months before I could even apply. I have money saved up to get married, but its not much & it would break my heart to have to spend it. The only way I can get better is with medical treatment & bedrest. I’m afraid of ulcers & internal bleeding. I am scared & feel very alone & helpless. If anyone has any advice it would be much apreciated. Thanks.
