For some number of months now I’ve been having acid heartburn on and off, now almost everyday. I was given Omeaperzole by dr so reduce stomach acid but didn’t take them as not one for medications as worry about side effects. So resorted to Gaviscon. This helps for a while but doesn’t cure it. Dr said its excess stomach acid and prescribed me Omeaperzole about 6 month ago but still laying in cupboard. I keep worrying it may be stomach cancer, but unlikely as still a young age and got good appetite and no weight loss. Been tested for Helicobacter as well but all clear. Could it be an ulcer? Should I try and take the tablets? Or try and change my diet first?

I have these chest pains in the area of my chest where my ribs come in (that V area, where your diaphram is?) and a little to the left. Sometimes its lower, and more the the right of my upper stomach. Sometimes it burns, sometimes it hurts. I have a little bit of backpain too. The whole thing gets worse when i lay down.
I don’t eat much, im underweight.
My doctor told me to take Zantac 75 two times a day, but I’m scared too :\ I’m worried it’s something else.
I’ve always had heart burn (GERD) issues.
I’m a girl, 14, so it’s not a heart attack.
Does this sound like heartburn to you? Where is heartburn located? Should I take Zantac?
Thanks so much xx

Can gerd or anxiety mimic heart attack because i have been having left arm pain and hand and numbness also shortness of breath and nausea and a little chest every once in a while either ringing in ears or?I have had 3 different times and doctors 1 said gas 1 said anxiety and 1 said gerd they all three said it seems like gas chest pains or related and weight or anxiety makes it worse. This year I have had 2 chest xrays,4 ekgs different times of the year and a blood test in the machine and they also took about 4 extra viles for testing each time fine. Also sore chest or arm muscle lower back pain only when i walk along time which is probably normal for i am obese.anyone have anything like this where you keep going to the hospital because your mind races on a health issue and all test come back normal? Thanks.
chest pain achy sharp pressure not really
stress definatly makes worse
also diareeha
oh also facial or jaw or teeth pain

Since saturday night i have been not feeling well i been having random numbness in my arm,non stop burping and chest pains. The chest pains vary from the upper right side like right above my breast to the left side same spot down to the middle of my chest on the right or left side.I was a little nervous so i went to the hospital last night and they did a ECG and they said my heart was fine the test came back fine so he told me it was just heartburn(acid reflux) and gave me meds. All day today with taken the med i still had the burping and the random chest pains(mostly hurting when i move a certain way). I went to sleep tonight and before bed my back was hurting bad and i went to sleep and woke up an hour later to a really bad chest pain and i was sweating like crazy. I stopped sweating but my chest still hurts alittle and my shoulder,my back is fine now.
My question is was the ECG enough or should they have given me a chest x-ray also? Im really scared

I’ve read that antacids have a risk of overdose. I have extremely bad GERD and have found that taking calcium carbonate supplements are effective at treating. Sometimes I wind up taking an extra couple chewable tablets than recommenced (containing only calcium carbonate) and was wondering if this really is posing a risk to my health, or if, like most other medications, in practicality a few extra wont do damage.
I am currently also taking 40mg protonix (proton pump inhibitor) daily

Is it completely different from acid reflux? I feel kinda crappy this afternoon, sort of like chest pains right in the center of my chest, but not sure if that’s what heartburn feels like.
Ahh, then this probably isn’t heartburn. Thanks!
