For the past few days I’ve been getting what is feeling like intense heartburn a few times a day and before I sleep. I usually feel like I have to take a drink to get rid of it. Is it possible I have some kind of disease?

Has anybody got a cure that has really worked? I just found out that all the coughing and spluttering and sinus issues and the feeling of something stuck in my throat is GERD. Sounds just like it feels :0
What has worked for you?
Thank you-

I am 27 weeks pregnant and have been suffering from very serious heartburn and gastric reflux. I threw up like 20 times the other night and ending up in the ER with an iv and some other meds they gave me for the excruciating pain. I read on a site that there had been no serious testing done on pregnant women so I am a little worried. However, 2 pharmacists, 2 doctors and a nurse all told me it was perfectly safe. What do you think?

I have been having some acid reflux, but it’s not really painful. It is just making me bloat and salivate a lot and get a lot of phlegm in the back of my throat. Do antacids only neutralize stomach acid (therefore stopping heartburn) or does it help absorb excess stomach acid?
Is there anything else that absorbs excess stomach acids?
Does it help belching too?

Hi there, i am suffering from severe daily acid reflux (constant) and heartburn, to the point where i cannot eat more than 5 spoonfuls of food without getting severe discomfort and have developed a mouth ulcer. I have asked for adice on which medication to take, b\ut have been given no straight answer.
So my question is what can i take to relieve/stop my acid reflux will not be transfered over my breastmilk (as i am a nursing mother to a 2 week old baby).
I was previously diagnosed and with acid reflux (and perscibed ranitidine and ursoflax which was extremely effective) so this is how i can be sure i have it again.

Sometimes when I eat food gets stuck in my throat and feels like it won’t go down. And sometimes I get chest pains (but it’s not heart related because I’ve been to the ER twice and they never find anything wrong with my heart)

Despite being queasy, I’m also experiencing heartburn, and I’ve not really been the type of person to get it from eating foods—also I’ve not been eating any acidic foods that might cause it.
Other than morning sickness, is heartburn related in early pregnancy signs?
