		<description>Absolutely!  It is, in fact, a symptom of it. It lasts as long as the GERD/Heartburn lasts. It&#039;s an irritation in the esophagus caused from the stomach acid that is up in there. I thought I had allergies, because I had an unproductive cough that just went on and on and on. The ear, nose and throat doctor said I had no reaction to the allergen tests, and instead treated me for GERD. The cough went away after about a week on Nexium. It isn&#039;t a bad cough &quot;with&quot; the GERD. It is a bad cough &quot;FROM&quot; the GERD.</description>
