If you had GERD, you’d tend to have a burning sensation in your throat which you don’t mention.
Burping and regurgitation (reflux) are common symptoms of GERD; but your other symptoms might mean that you have an anxiety disorder which is causing increased adrenalin, which in turn causes nausea/regurgitation, rapid heart rate (tachycardia), and changes to your blood pressure, leading to dizziness and pressure sensation in your chest.
In GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) a small circular muscle at the entrance to your stomach, (called the lower esophageal sphincter (LES)) doesn’t close as tightly as it should, this allows stomach contents, including gastric acid, to flow back/reflux into the throat, this usually causes a burning sensation and might lead to problems with swallowing.
You need to see your doctor to get a proper diagnosis, if GERD is confirmed, your doctor would usually prescribe a proton-pump inhibitor (like Omeprazole 40mg) for around 4 weeks, to see if your symptoms improve, proton-pump inhibitors reduce stomach/gastric acid, so that when reflux occurs, it doesn’t do the same damage to the throat and this usually treats the pain that most people with GERD suffer, losing weight will also help your symptoms.
Wether you have GERD or a related disorder, or if your symptoms are caused by the anxiety-induced actions of adrenalin, can only be determined by someone who examines you, so you do need to see your doctor; if you’ve already been diagnosed with GERD and you weren’t given medication, see another, better doctor for a physical exam.
