Does any body have a good natural cure for heartburn like something to eat to get rid of it?

A teraspoon of bicarbonate of soda in a glass of water usually helps – or something like Eno’s or Andrews liver salts!
peppermint—the red-striped hard candy type.
A spoonful of baking soda dissolved in water will do it too.

If you are getting a lot of heartburn and/or acid-reflux, it might be a good idea to try to find out why this is happening.
3 teaspoons of Bicarbonate of Soda in cool water in a small glass, knock back in one. If you are American Baking Soda is the equivilant.
I don’t know a natural cure but I know pepto bismal works great for me.

one teaspoon of baking soda in about 8 oz of warm water. mix it up until completely dissolved and then drink. it works like magic.

How about a drink? Take 1 teaspoon of baking soda & dissolve it in a glass of water. Drink it all down as fast as possible. It usually gives me relief if not a cure.

Peppermint cordial, dilute to taste, it gets rid of heartburn very well, also if you eat little and often you should avoid the problem.
try eating ginger glazed bites ,it works ,or add ginger to hot water and let it steep for a few minutes.from mikhal in israel.
I have acid reflux and my doctor says that mint of any kind, including peppermint is a no-no. He said it causes more heartburn, same with milk. They do temporarily make the burning go away, but do not help with the acid levels. If you are having chronic problems, stay away from dairy, chocolate, mint, and caffiene.
I recommend some plain bread/rolls. Something that will help absorb the acid. A piece of bread and you should feel it go away shortly.
Antacids are useful because they provide rapid relief of heartburn, especially if it is caused by foods or certain activity.
Popular brands are Tums and Titralac.
Liquorice or Aniseed are good for relief of heartburn sometimes milk. But the trick is to find what is causing it in the first place ie too much pastry in one’s diet, spicy foods etc etc.
Very often, if the heartburn is diet-related, and it usually is, including parsley in the dish is effective.
Parsley also cures ‘onion-breath’!
I usually use a teaspoon of baking soda in water, too. It chemically reacts with the acid, converting its pH from acidic to more base. It tastes NASTY, though.
One warning about drinking baking soda: it can throw off your electrolyte balance, just like eating way too much salt. Make sure you drink a whole glass of water before or afterwards, or you’ll get dehydrated and feel equally bad in the rest of your body.
Those acid reflux meds like Prilosec are now over-the-counter without a prescription, too. You take ‘em every day to prevent attacks and heal esophagal injury from previous heartburn.
