does gerd cause diarrhea?

so i have heartburn and it hurts my stomach like horrible so after the pain 10 minutes after i get diarrhea alot but only when i get the pain i was thinking can it because by gerd i have not taken any meds until today i started nexium just want to know if there is a connection with gerd and diarrhea
because my heartburn got a little better and so did the pooping so
im getting an appartment with my husband and we wenty to walmart to get things and i was so scared of getting the pain i just wanted to leave walmart its really getting bad

Actually GERD is an acid reflux that has no relation to the diarrhea. But it can be connected indirectly, here are some advices for GERD:
- Avoid eating prior to sleep by 2-3 hours
- Avoid fatty meals

There may be an underlining cause. Im kinda interested in seeing some answers of this as I have it and me and my buddy got it at the same time during some illnesses we are comtinuing to have. I hope the best for you but from my research yes but take that with a grain of salt.
