Im 28/ female and i have been having feelings in my chest of not beeing able to breath, but i can ( a tight feeling) and some chest pain with burning sensations in my throat. The doctor has ru tests on me including heart tests. Now they are telling me that they think i have GERD. Does gerd cause the chest tightness feeling? Has anyone else experienced this?

Not only can it give you that feeling but the acids in your stomach can come up and drip down your wind pipe (treacha) causing damage. This damage can cause shortness of breath and a tight feeling in your chest too. In fact some have developed asthma from damage from acid reflux damaging their airway.
I would try to prevent it with an over the counter medication or get a prescription from your doctor.
