Heart burn or indigestion only hurts your oesphagus. Not your heart.
It is called heartburn by the general public, although it has nothing to do with the heart, because the burning sensation can be confused with a heart attack or heart problems.
Associated pains can also be felt down your arm, either left or right. It can also go into your jaw. So it is not always felt just in your chest area.
If you have been diagnosed with indigestion, ask for a prescription of H2 inhibitors which will relieve the pain.
If the pain gets worse or you have ANY CONCERNS this is not indigestion then you need to attend the ER.
I have a pain on the left side of my chest all the time and I’ve had loads of tests done on my heart and everything’s been fine. Unless you exhibit other signs of heart problems I wouldn’t worry unless it doesn’t go away after a while.
