I’ve heard some women tell me that you will never get rid of heartburn after you get pregnant, doesn’t matter after you’ve had it.
I never had heartburn before I got pregnant, and now I have it majorly bad. Will this go away once I have my baby?

Mine was gone literally the day I had the baby. It was awesome!
Pretty much right away yes, the reason you have heartburn while pregnant is because everything is pushed up in there.
Its caused by the hormones and eventually by the lack of space for the stomach.
It goes away after.
I had heart burn with my son it was a killer as soon as i had him it went and has not come back my son is nearly 15 Weeks
Yes it will go away.
Heartburn is caused because everything is relaxed including your stomach muscles so stomach acids can come back up the esophogas. Also as your belly gets bigger it pushes your stomach farther up making it easier for stomach acids to come back up.
So yes once baby is born it will go away. Unless you had it so bad that it caused some sort of damage causing it to keep on after baby is born, but that is highly unlikely.
Good Luck!!
typically yes, I have it very badly too… my Dr prescribed Prilosec and oh my, what a miracle… I feel like a new woman… the larger you get, the more the uterus pushes up into the esophagus etc…
I only get heartburn while pregnant. Never had it before, never had it after. I’m sure it’s different for everyone, though.
