Low stomach acid?? No mate, no Allopathic Doctor i ever went to regarding my vast array of digestive issues, mood swings, achy bones, nausea, cramping, evil stomach aches, headaches, constant respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, bloating, gassiness, acid reflux ……. ever ever ever pinpointed them as being directly related to the fact that i’m coeliac, lactose intolerant, soy intolerant blahblahblah ad infinitum …….. i did, however, get diagnosed with disorders ranging from IBS to rheumatoid arthritis, bipolar, schizophrenia !! pffft, food intolerances was the bottom line…. simple as that ….. i had to do the research myself mate and such a fine job i did too !! Waaaaaah !! sorry, i can just feel your distress here mate.
Get yourself off to a fully qualified Naturopath and have them fully assess you. They only charge about $50.00AUD per consultation.
With alternating diarrohea and constipation i would say that’s a big red flag that you are coeliac ….. intestinal gas,heartburn, constipation would indicate to me that you are lactose intolerant …… animal protein is notoriously hard to digest and if it is left unattended will cause your food to remain undigested in your digestive system to ferment and produce symptoms such as bloating and gassiness, acid reflux, irritability and moodiness, fatigue and exhaustion.
Avoid the foods that cause you discomfort.
Try ditching the milk and dairy products first for a few days and take note of how you then feel. Ensure that you pump up your intake of leafy and green vegies … which aside from being rich in magnesium (the antistress mineral) are also rich in calcium… magnesium will increase the production of hydrochloric acid in your tummy and aid in digestion thus relieving constipation bloating, gassiness and constipation…… other foods rich in magnesium are wholegrain breads and cereals such as brown rice, fresh fish such as salmon and tuna, organic nuts and seeds like almonds, brazil nuts and sunflower seeds … organic with the nuts and seeds to avoid the nasty sulfites and other chemicals they use to "preserve" the commercial varieties.
The fresh fish is also rich in vitamin D (the sunshine vitamin) which is essential for effective calcium assimilation and the essential fatty acids…… EFA’s will bolster your immunity, soothe the inflammation in your digestive tract, dramatically level out your stress levels and any mood swings you may have and help to lower blood pressure.
Fresh fruits and vegies are also rich in calcium and contain a more useable form of calcium than milk and dairy products…… oranges, carrotts …… leafy greens .. far better for bone health.
When you’ve ascertained that milk and dairy products upset your system ….. then you can try the wheat ….. i know it’s a big ask to simply ditch all products containing lactose cos i’ve done it and recovered from all my "diseases" miraculously …. well worth the effort.
Simply put i can’t eat out of a package anymore…… i eat a couple of bowls of green vegies and brown rice each day, some lean meats and fishes, organic nuts and seeds and low sugar fruits such as strawberries, watermelon and cantaloupe.
I supplement with a B complex daily. I supplement with powdered vitamin C (containing bioflavonoids to bolster the power of vitamin C) reduce inflammation, stimulate the immune system and restore and maintain the mucous lining of the gastrointestinal tract………. In addition, vitamin C creates an environment in the digestive tract that helps control the overgrowth of yeast, bacteria and parasites.
Vitamin C deficiency can contribut to digestive problems, as well as bleeding gums, increased susceptibility to infection, joint pain, unexplained bruising and lack of energy….. hmm, vitamin C the magical potion i reckon.
I also take the Olive Leaf Extract daily.
The reason it’s a bit tough to ditch milk and dairy is because of all the sugar that they lace everything with ….. same with packaged breads.
But it’s your health and vitality at stake here mate.
Take a multi B complex supplement to bolster healthy neural, immune and digestive functioning…….. get one containing all the B’s as they work best as a group… a liquid supplement wouldbe the easiest for your body to assimilate…….. taking a B complex supplement will help you enormously in dealing with the everyday stress we are all exposed to at some level.
Take olive leaft extract to help eradicate the candidasis…… in a liquid form two or three times daily just before food….. buy the natural flavored variety as the flavored ones contain less concentration of the active ingredient oleuropein… Olive leaf extract has been used as a natural antiotiobic for thousand years, but is only recently that scientific research has shown that its active ingredient oleuropein, has the ability to fight a broad range of infective microorganisms…. Oleuropein has been found to be effective in fighting bacteria, fungi, yeasts, parasites and viruses in laboratory studies.

Eat foods and condiments that are natural antiobiotics too ~ raw garlic, onions, leeks, shallots, radishes, fenugree, fresh gingerroot, chilli and plenty of raw salads and fruits and their juices……… ifyou find it difficult to eat hot spicy things try eating them with plenty of food and even small amounts of these things can help to expel infected mucous from your body……. try grating raw garlic or expelling its juice in a garlic press or chop it into tiny pieces and mix through cooked foods and salads thus a little easier to tolerate…… or add some fresh garlic juice to your vegetable juice cocktail………. raw garlic and other plants from the onion family are superb powerful naturall antiobiotics and can help to eradicate and control infections from any part of the body…. even in cases where there is resistance to antiobiotic drugs….if you absolutely hate raw garlic and its odor then you can use the garlic capsules which aren’t as effective.

The classic telltale signs of a yeast overgrowth ……. candidiasis …… are those of a white tongue (thrush), toenail or fingernail fungus, jock itch or athlete’s foot, and vaginal yeast infections……….. an overgrowth of yeast can affect virtually every system of the body with the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, endocrine, nervous and immune systems being the most susceptible…. common symptoms of candidiasis include:
Digestive disorders, including IBS;
Gastrointestinal symptoms: thrush, bloating gas, rectal itching;
Vaginal yeast infections;
Urinary tract infections;
Athlete’s foot or jock itch;
Fungal toenails or fingernails;
Cravings for sugar, bread, or alcohol;
Diaper rash;
Fatigue;
Irritability (especially when hungry);
Premenstrual syndrome and menstrual problems;
Fibromyalgia;
headaches;
Brain fog;
Skin problems or itching;
Numbness or tingling in the extremities;
Respiratory problems;
Depression;
Hypoglycemia;
Short attention span;
Loss of libido.
Candidiasis almost never occurs in people with healthy immune systems who eat a diet low in sugar and yeast….you need to avoid all yeast and sugar products to kill a yeast infection ……… sugar will literally feed the yeast overgrowth allowing it to flourish……… ditch the alcohol and sodas and diet sodas too if you drink any ………. antiobiotics, especially broad – spectrum antiobiotics will also kill the helpful bacteria which you need for a healthy gut …….. supplement with a good quality probiotic to rebalance gut flora ……… this part is absolutely essential for without the good flora your system will remain completely out of whack …… eat more alkaline forming foods such as leafy and green vegies, fishes such as tuna, salmon, sardines and whiting, organic nuts and seeds such as almonds and brazil nuts…….. all these foods are rich in magnesium and will thus encourage the production of hydrochloric acid in your tummy aiding in digestion and effective elimination ……..the leafy greens and fishes are also rich in calcium and protein and the fish are a rich source of vitamin D too ……. eat organic brown rice and quinoa (prounounced keen ~ wah) as they are both a rich source of the B complex of vitamins and will provide you with the carbs you need for sustained energy and the quinoa is also rich in calcium and iron ………. don’t forget about getting enough iron on a daily basis too ie ~ lean red meats ….. Avoid sugars such as honey, molasses, fructose, maltose, lactose (that means all milk and dairy products) and fruit juices …… avoid artificial sweetners and foods containing brewer’s yeast – ie – alcohol such as beer, wine, brandy, whiskey, rum, ciders and root beer…. avoid baker’s yeast ie ~ breads and rolls and pastries …. avoid mushrooms … avoid fruits and vegies with any sign of mold growth on them …. avoid fermented beverages and condiments including mayonnaise, ketchup, pickled vegies and pickles, salad dressings (use lemon and olive oil instead), soy sauce and vinegar …. avoid all types of hard cheeses which are a pretty good source of mold…. avoid processed and smoked meats and fish, including hot dogs, sausages, luncheon meats etc……. these meats are processed with sugar, spices, yeast and other preservatives …. avoid canned bottled or frozen fruit and vegie juices cos they have loads of sugar and are commonly made from overripened or damaged produce; generally the skin of the fruit contains surface mold and rotten spots, which are pulverised into the juice… avoid dried fruits…. avoid coffee & tea as much as you can as caffeine will aggravate yeast overgrowth………………
