heartburn?

does anybody know what can cause heartburn and what can help stop it i have taken Tums and they are not helping at all i have never had a problem with this before and its like yesterday it wouldn’t go away i just don’t understand
oh i am not pregnant i am actually due to start my monthly Tuesday

just drink lots of milk-it neutralises the stomach acid
i take mylanta liquid which works in a matter of min.
if it does get serious go to your doctor and get some tablets that wont affect your baby as i have been on them as well
why did you write it in the pregnancy part when there is a perfectly good health and sickness part!!!!
It can be acidity. Better go or milk
eat an apple that usually helps me & i also take quick-eze or gaviscon is good as well.
rennies take it away they taste horrible but are brilliant if not you can go to your doctor and he/she will give you tablets
i have frozen yogurt it works every time for me
well when i had a ulcer in my gut my dad told me about mixing some cayenne pepper in with a glass of milk and drinking it
its actually not as bad as it sounds and it helped me a lot
