Papaya is a good fruit.
It’s believed that the enzyme called papain (also known as vegetable pepsin) which is found in the leaves and fruit of the papaya plant helps to soothe digestion and indigestion. In addition, papaya has been used to treat a variety of other issues including helping to reduce constipation, inflammation, and cholesterol along with being used as an antimicrobial and antifungal treatment.

Have chamomile and rooibos tea in between meals and in the evening.
If you often experience digestive problems after eating which are contributing to your heartburn, rooibos can also serve as an antispasmodic to relieve cramping and an upset stomach. A happy stomach will likely mean a decreased chance of suffering from painful acid reflux episodes.
