Vinegar. My dad had the same problem.. drained a swig of vinegar. It is nasty stuff but it will take out the heart burn.

seltzer water helps a lot. my grandpa and grandma drink it everyday and my grandpa has acid Reflex and gets heartburn a lot and it helps him plus try alka seltzer and those pills for heart burn if you have some.

u could drink milk, or suck on tums tablets, or u could eat some yogurt. all of those options worked out for me.

Mix half a teaspoon of baking soda (not baking powder) in half a glass of water and drink it. If you look on a box of baking soda it will have these directions. This will neutralize the acid in your throat and stomach and you will feel better in minutes.

I used to mix a spoon of baking soda in a half glass of water and drink it down. You’ll burp and feel better. Try 2 spoons if 1 doesn’t work.

i take tums plus i get frequent heartburn and acid reflux so i also take prilosec on a somewhat regular basis. if this is something that is frequent for you i would talk to your doctor or try something over the counter like prilosec.

I get heartburn twice every day for the past 25 years. I dont waste my money on tums and all that stuff. A 99 cent box of baking soda will last almost a month. Put a teaspoon in a glass, just put a little bit of water in it, like 2-4 ounces and bottoms up. It cures heartburn before you even set the glass down on the counter, I swear to it. Most people keep arm and hammer in their fridge, but usually it has some food odors in it, but it wont hurt you. If thats all you have around, then try it, just hold your breath while you drink it, you wont taste it. But buy you a box and keep it in the cupboards.

Elevate your bed about 6 inches and don’t eat spicy food. You shouldn’t eat a large meal before bedtime because it will cause heartburn while sleeping and the acids travel; up the esophaguss and that is why you have a sore throat

i was getting heartburn to the point i needed a prescription. well now you can buy it over the counter. i take omeprazole. you take one a day. it will take a day or two for it to start working but then no more heartburn. if you just want something for occasional heartburn i recommend Titralac plus. Works ALOT better than tums or rolaids and works right away.
