How true is the heartburn thing about how much hair your baby will have?

I’ve heard if you have alot of heartburn your baby will have alot of hair. If you dont have heartburn or have a just a little the baby will have little or No hair at all. How true is this????

Absolutely an old wives tale, but it comes out true for many and then again some dont.
It’s an old wives tale I believe.
I have heard that this is actually true b/c something about the protein in the hair causing heartburn… I don’t remember exactly but I have heard it’s true!
What year is it? 1675?
absolute rubbish i suffer from heartburn neway and it got really bad in my 1st pregnancy and he was born wit hardly any hair! im pregnant wit baby #2 now and guess wot…..ive got bad heartburn again. Its jus an old wives tail. U get heartburn b/c where ur body is makin room 4 the baby ur hormones cause early heartburn and as ur baby gets bigger it pushes all ur organs up and about so ur reflux doesn’t wrk properly and pushes acid bk up which causes the heartburn.
I got heartburn with everything I ate. Only a pregnant woman can get heartburn from a baked potato or oatmeal, LOL. My baby came out and has more hair than my son had ( he was bald ) but it is still just a little fuzz on the top of her head. I think you can chalk that one up to just another old tale.
It is an old wives tale, however I had heartburn the enitre time I was pregnant and my son come out with 2 inches of hair. so really could be true. I guess

It IS an old wives tale, but one that rings true for my kiddos!! I get HORRIBLE heartburn around 20wks and it last for almost two months… And all my babies had tons of hair!
It is just an old wifes tale, but from what I have heard, it does work out that way alot.
Its in they eye of the beholder really. I have really bad acid reflex and heart burn in my pregnancy. Will find out if its true in my case on Monday!! I hope she has long, dark, thick hair like her daddy.
Not true- especially for me. I had such bad heartburn that I needed a prescription for the last trimester. My daughter was born bald. She is now 21 months old and she still doesn’t have much hair. Actually at 12 months she was still basically bald.
false.. i have hairy arms and my husband does too, but she was born 3 yrs ago with no hair at all! she finally grew hair on her head at 12 months and finally is down to her lower back! Besides that, i had MAJOR annoying heartburn when i was pregnant! Just an old wives tale!
I’ve never heard this, but I’ll tell you, I used a whole Costco sized bottle of Tums with my son and he is still bald at 13 months. It sure wasn’t true for us.
