I have this disease called GERD. When one has GERD, their esophagus gets irritated. There’s more to GERD, but I don’t think it’s really important. I went to a speech therapist to get it checked out. She gave me a packet on how to treat GERD. In the packet there are some exercises that I have to do to help my GERD that I must do 2 times every day. I only do it once at night, because I always forget or don’t have enough time to do it in the morning.
The greater problem is my diet- I’m EXTREMELY picky, and I really only eat spaghetti, pizza, grilled cheese, peas, and corn (I’ll eat any type of fruit, though). The packet says I’m not supposed to eat pasta, pizza, grilled cheese, chocolate, spicy food, or really any tomato-based food. Most of the food I’m instructed not to eat completes my diet. It’s really hard. How do I control myself from eating these things, and is there any tasty vegetables that I could try. Any recipes? Or any way to make myself remember to do my vocal exercises?
I am also a vegetarian, which makes my diet even less varied. :(
