if you have GERD is it possible that only your stomach hurts?

cause GERD is heartburn , and im wondering if my 7 year old daughter has this, cause she has constant stomach pains that come and go almost all day and shes never complained about burning in her chest, she describes it as her stomach getting tighter and tighter and stabbing poking pains.

I have GERD but this doesn’t sound like it. Her symptoms sound like something I had when I was in my early teens (and I’ve seen it in younger people too) when my gall bladder stopped working. It’s sort of like the appendix, in that it doesn’t do anything except if it ceases to work. Talk to a doctor about it, ask if this might be the case. They can do scans etc for it. If it *is* her gall bladder, there’s some very minor surgery to remove it, full recovery is two weeks tops. Either way, good luck, I hope she feels better soon!
