Is it even really healthy for you? Are there any medical tests that state its good for you?

Look at it this way. Whatever is generally good for health is also good for Gerd. Mostly. Eating lots of veggies and moderate amounts of non-acidic fruits. Chewing your food really good. Raising the head of your bed. Not eating anything in the last two hours before going to bed. Not smoking, very moderate drinking if at all. Drinking lots of water. Ginger. Garlic.
A PH balanced diet is always a good thing. Too much acid in the body is harmful to anyone, not just Gerd sufferers.
