Is it a problem if you lie down after eating?

If you lie down after eating, is it only a problem if you suffer from heartburn/GERD, with people who don’t suffer from this being fine?
Also, can lying down cause heartburn/GERD symptoms, and therefore be cured by sitting up?

You should eat dinner around 5 PM and go to bed 5 hours later or modify your hours to go to bed 5 hours after eating. Your digeative system is designed to get some rest when you sleep. If you go directly to bed your digestive system will get no rest. Do it right. It won’t work any other way. It is designed in. Pharmaceutical cannot change the way your body reacts to stupidity.
If you are suffering from heartburn after eating while you lay down, then yes it’s a little bit of a problem. Go get some heartburn medicine and take it ONLY when you get heartburn
Remember how we get babies to burp after they were being fed? The reason being that otherwise the stomach contents can come back up and suffocate them. I have no problems laying down after I ate—but I do make sure that I burp……
