Is it safe to take Gaviscon(for heartburn and acid indigestion) and Omeprazole(GERD) tablets together?

Because i took a tablet last night, and i’ve got really bad heartburn at the moment and i can’t take another until tonight, but i also have that medicine for it which does help, from before i got perscribed the tablets.
It doesn’t say in the leaflets and that about if you can or can’t.
Is it okay?
They do the same thing, just the tablets are stronger.
Anyone know?
Thanks .x.

No! In the leaflet with Omeprazole it tells you not to take them with any other indigestion remedy! They are not compatible. If you have a problem drink plenty of water! If it continues ring NHS Direct or seek medical advice!
Doc consultation recommended! Self-medication in some cases may be pretty dangerous!
