The first thing a good doctor will tell you is to raise the head of your bed 6 inches. You can have a guy to do it with blocks of wood or with bricks. Or, they actually sell "bed-raisers" at Bed, Bath and Beyond.
Zantac works the best. It’s MUCH cheaper if you get a prescription from your doctor. It wouldn’t be a bad idea getting examined anyway. Then you’ll know exactly what’s going on.
Yes. Prilosec and other equivalent brands. This reduces the level of acid in your stomach. The problem is that the acid is needed to digest and sanitize your food, so you can see that those drugs are not ideal.
prilosec otc works wonders. tumms are great too, but get the smoothie kind they all taste horrible, but these are the "best" flavor. if you can’t get to a store right away drink some milk or have some cheese (dairy always seems to help me). when you go to sleep try to keep your head elevated with an extra pillow instead of laying flat :]

Bless you and good luck!
Yes, but it’s at walmart or whatever. There’s things like prilosec and omeprizol. Good luck
