Is there prescription heartburn medication that’s safe for pregnant women?
This is my second pregnancy and the heartburn is out of this world. Nothing seems to help. I’m having to take 2-3 Rolaids after I eat or drink anything. I’m so miserable, it’s keeping me up at night, and I dread eating because I know what’s coming after. Is there a prescription I could ask my doctor about? Thanks.
I really hate this section, because it’s full of angry hormonal women. Of course I will call my doctor and ask-I was asking if anyone had ever been prescribed something. Thanks for the first two useful answers.
Is Reglan also for morning sickness? Or am I thinking of something else?

My Dr. just told me on Friday that Zantac 150 (OTC, but she gave me a scrip anyways) is FDA approved as a class B pregnancy med. It has been really helpful for me so far. Good luck. I know heartburn really sucks and tums/rolaids do nothing at all for me.
Yes there are a couple….my doctor gave me Reglan and it was ok…not great.
My friends doctor gave her protonix and she said it was GREAT! Just mention it to your OB next visit and see what they recommend.
The best thing to do is drink milk while youre pregnant.
call your doctor and ask. simple
if it is prescription then a doctor would have to give it to you in which case they would know it was safe.
I’ve had terrible heartburn all threw my pregnancy and the only thing that seems to work for me is milk, I drink soooo much of it but it really helps.
yes i took nioxin or something and it worked wonders~~
Yeah, they always say Tums are it. They are actually good for you and the baby, as they add calcium.
