I am almost 26 weeks and have the worst heartburn, it’s so bad I can’t sleep and my mouth waters out of control and sometimes causes nausea. My doctor said I could take Pepcid which I do but it doesn’t always work so well. My doctor hasn’t okayed any other medicines for heartburn, so I’m wondering if any of you know of some remedies I could try or foods I could eat/drink that would help?
Thanks!

Milk worked wonders for mine. I had it horrible like that, too. I feel for you:( When my baby came, my heartburn has not returned. Good news!!! Hope you find some relief!
Gaviscon liquid and a large glass of milk

Honestly I just took tums or rolaids when I was pregnant. I used to wake up out of a good sleep due to heartburn.
Milk is the only thing that gets rid of mine.
I’ve always taken rolaids chewables through my pregnancies. I get the worst heartburn and they always seem to be instant relief… and yummy
You have my sympathies–during my pregnancy the heartburn got so bad some nights I would cry. Gaviscon liquid did help a lot though, but make sure to clear it with your doctor.
Try to avoid foods that aggrevate the heartburn–for me it was onions, spicy foods, and tomatoes.
Good luck!
I have never gotten heartburn before until this pregnancy,#3. The thing that works for me is Tums. I can’t really avoid the things that give me heartburn since it is all liquids. You can also try sleeping with pillows proping your back up. Good luck and congrats.
I took Tums and when I had it really bad a glass of milk usually helped. Try eating small meals, mild food, drink plenty of water, and wait at least a half hour before laying down or reclining after a meal. Your doctor may be able to prescribe a stronger med if the over the counter stuff doesn’t work.
Mylanta always worked for me during my two pregnancies. Good luck.
Tums, rolaids….but tums was a HUGE life saver for me
