Gaviscon liquid did help a lot though, but make sure to clear it with your doctor. Try to avoid foods that aggrevate the heartburn--for me it was onions, spicy foods, and tomatoes. Good luck! The thing that works for me is Tums. I can't really avoid the things that give me heartburn since it is all liquids. You can also try sleeping with pillows proping your back up. Try eating small meals, mild food, drink plenty of water, and wait at least a half hour before laying down or reclining after a meal.
