how come when you drink vinegar it stops heartburn and when you drink milk it also stops heartburn? They’re like opposites. And why do foods with acid in them like tomatoes and orange juice cause heartburn, but vinegar having a ton of acid stops it? It all makes no sense.

vinegar has very strong acid in it
Acid becomes alkaline in your stomach. Vinegar being liquid become alkaline much faster than tomatoes do. Milk has been proven to not help heartburn or ulcers because it becomes acid in your stomach.
